Happy Thanksgiving!

As an American living in Canada, I no longer feel any real attachment to either Thanksgiving which sort of sucks. The Canadian one is just another day off as I don't have any family here to mooch turkey off of, and I can't visit home during the American one. Sigh!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

I hope everyone has a nice holiday. I will certainly be remembering everything that I have to be thankful for, but I will also be thinking of my friends (and others) who are going through a tough time right now.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm making a turkey breast and some side dishes this morning to take to my grandmother. Since most of my family has to work today, we are having our Thanksgiving on Saturday, but it won't be the traditional turkey dinner. We are having lasagna and eggplant parmesan.

Today's turkey dinner will be spent with my inlaws.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

We're going to my sister's house to share dinner and fun with a good chunk of my family. Promises to be loud and full of drama.

Happy Thanksgiving, all!

Today I'm headed to my brother's house for prime rib. After that, I'm getting together with some friends for a little after dinner party. It's all good.

Meal is planned for sometime between 2:00 and 4:00 at some relatives house. Looking forward to it.

Happy Thanksgiving All. :)

I'm enjoying that break that occurs after the bustle of getting the pies done and getting the turkey underway and before you have to start worrying about any sides. We're planning on eating around 3 or 4pm today so there will be time to hit everything up a second time before going to bed. I wish I didn't have to work tomorrow though.

Well, I'm alone for the day. I'm watching the parade with my cat right now. I could do homework but I thought I'd take the day off from any work and just play Sims 2 all day. Now that I have the Seasons expansion I can give my sims a Thanksgiving dinner and live vicariously through them.

Don't worry, it's not all depressing, my boyfriend and I will be having our Thanksgiving tomorrow, with turkey (a small one of course) and all the works. It will just be the two of us though.

I love Thanksgiving, it's my favorite holiday, and usually I have it with my family and we all play board games and it's a lot of fun. But three years ago they started a new tradition of going to visit my aunt and uncle up in Oregon for about a week. I was able to go last year, but usually can't because of work or school. They left on Tuesday and I had work and class the past two days so I didn't go. My boyfriend has been at his mom's.

So here that leaves me, on my own, eating burritos for lunch. I really wish my family would go back to holding it at their house so that I could play some fun board games and eat food the way only my mom can make it.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

It's times like this that we take stock of the things around us. Be thankful for the little things, not just the big ones.

Of course I'm Thankful for my family and my health.. But I'm also thankful for my dogs, my job, my friends and life in general.

My those of you celebrating today have a day full of peace, good food, football and family. For those of you who have to spend the day away from your loved ones I hope you'll be with them soon!

Cheers!

It's been a very nice Thanksgiving day spent at my family's new house. We still have a few things left in the apartment (like this computer and my TV), which is why I'm not going shopping-frenzy on Black Friday. I have a lot of moving and organizing to do.

I'm very thankful for my health (though I'm sick with the cold), my job (regardless of how I feel about it and the people I work with), and most of all, my family and friends. It's a good time to reflect on your blessings and think about those who aren't so fortunate.

We had an entertaining Thanksgiving dinner at my inlaws. There was lots of drama, crying, arguing, and angst. None of it involved my husband or I, so we just sat back and watched it all unfold. It was like watching a very long, but entertaining movie.

I also ate too much today.
