Am I counting correctly? That's 3 actors tonight with a Star Trek connection, right? The Shat, Ruck and Rubinek...

Where are all the Star Trek alums going to go when this show goes off the air?

And, on a related note, how do you all think The Shat is going to be most remembered, as James T Kirk or as Denny Crane? (Sorry, TJ Hooker fans)

ABC hates the show, and it's expensive to make so David Kelly could only get 13 episodes, better than nothing.

Great episode dealing with real America, death to growns ups is fine, but not a small group of cells. I love Joe the Plumber and the stupid woman voting for a stupid woman.

Pathetic, what's 9 more episodes to make a complete season? They have the money

So season 2 and 3 are the only seasons to get full seasons. They got screwed on three seasons

Season 4 wasn't really their fault; they had an order for 24 episodes, but like every other show on TV, they got derailed by the WGA strike.

Funny episode and I loved how Shirley told Alan she was game for his sexual advances. The look on his face was priceless  Then, she rubs salt in the wound by telling him he needs Denny's permission :guffaw:

Carl Sack's/Denny's defense of the prison guard made the difference between "good" and "excellent" for me, I loved that closing argument.

The actors cost a ton of money. From rumors there was one top ABC guy who hates the show and that David E. Kelly blackmailed ABC to give him more episodes by dealing with something about Life on Mars.

Plus season 1 was a full season, then ABC moved several episodes to season 2, which became a huge season. Then there is season 3 which is the only 22 episode season. Season 4 did really well because DEK wrote episodes like bad and got 20 episodes even with a strike.

So in all the show hasn't done that bad. I'm just glad it can end on their terms and not ABC's. Plus Seasons 1-3 were the best, seasons 4 and 5 are way over the top, still fun but it doesn't feel like the same show.

I think season 5 has been the best, I have not laughed so much, it has been good. Still, I was hoping the show would end up with 110 episodes

Season 5 has been funny, but seasons 1-3 have great continuing story-lines and have characters that blend together nicely. It felt like a law show with a lot of comedy elements with it. The characters they added and took away they made jokes about and some of the cases went on more than a week. It felt more like a really crazy "The Practice" instead of just an insane comedy.

However all 5 seasons are great, and if you watch all the episodes you will get the little in jokes. the show will end with 101 episodes, so 101 or 110 not too big of a difference. :-p

Plus I have read the finale spoilers, and the guy has been correct in the past, and it seems like it will go out with a high note.

I thought there were 5 episodes left, does that leave it at 102 episodes?

I think it's 101, someone go count for me.

And now there are only 4 episodes left.

17, 27, 22, 20, 13 doesn't that equal 99. I don't know how many episodes there will be, but there are only 4 left and Turkey Day looks awesome! :)

Blood all over the carpet, and a moral victory to boot! :rommie:

Why did they chose a black actor for the prison guard?

    Kivas Fajo, such talent.

"She's not the brightest bulb in the tanning booth." :guffaw:

Would a meritocracy work? Why shouldn't politicians be held to the same professional standards as Doctors, Lawyers, Professors?

Alan Shore is a pig among pigs.

As usual, The Shat was brilliant.

Ok, I thought there was 5 left, that is why I added it up to 102. So 101 episodes, sheesh, so close to 110. Next times episode looks hilarious, The clips of next weeks episode is just one of the reasons I will miss this show.

Any body notice they referred to the election? Alan even said something about almost 47% of voters didn't vote for Obama. This ep aired only 13 days after the election, I wonder if they shot that scene since the election and inserted it. I'm assuming they didn't shoot the whole ep in that time.

I really liked this one. The case was really interesting, and I love that Shirley finally called Alan on his advances. Of course he'll NEVER get Denny's permission.

    Next week's looks good, too!

I will so miss this show when it's gone. :(
