Arrested Development movie is a GO!

Now we'll settle the cage match to see whose fans are more rabid and annoying, Firefly's or Arrested Development's.

<--Likes Firefly but thinks some Browncoats are looney tunes. Does not like Arrested Development.

Good news. Now I need to still catch Season 2 and see what I missed from season three. They had that arc with Theron and I started losing interest. Time to rekindle it, at least after I'm done watching 30 Rock.
The episodes with Ritta were hilarious, especially the last one

They were, but the show kept on going on hiatus or getting moved that it seemed hard to follow.

True. From Monday, to different time slots on Monday, to several weeks not being on, to showing repeats instead, to showing the final four episodes on a Friday

I actually didn't like the Charlize Theron episodes either. They are the only low point in the series for me. But even Arrested Development's low points are still pretty great.

How could you not like the line 'Dear god why am I not sinking?' from the last Rita episode? So hilarious

As most of you know, Jeffrey [Tambor] was on one of the best comedies I’ve ever seen on network TV. The show was called “Arrested Development” and no amount of superlatives can do the show justice. Let’s just say it was brilliant and move on.

Since the show was cancelled, rumblings of a feature film based on the show have been reported every time any of the stars does an interview. Almost always…the star in question says I’d love to do one, but I’m waiting to hear from creator Mitch Hurwitz.

Well…tonight is the night the story shifts into high gear! On the red carpet, Jeffrey told me he just spoke to Mitch and the movie is a go! He says Mitch Hurwitz spoke to him this week and while he didn’t know when the start date was, he said, ”when the writer/director calls you it’s a pretty good sign.”

Since I know a lot of you are just as passionate about the show…here’s just the part of the interview where he talked about “Arrested Development”. Further down is the full interview and it’s really worth watching. We talked a lot about his recent appearance on “Entourage”, him wanting to work on “The Hobbit” with Guillermo and a lot more.

Love the news, but seriously, watch the hotlinks. If it's not an image from a site you own/your own image hosting account, it should be posted as a URL and not an IMG. This is not that hard to remember.

Agreed. I hated those episodes, and found them to be the only unfunny ones in the series. But no show is perfect. I can't wait for the movie! :D

Initially, I didn't like the Rita episodes, but that was more because I was only able to see one or two of them during the initial broadcast.

As an unabashed James Bond fan, I quite appreciated the little details and in-jokes referencing Bond staples in the Rita episodes and on the whole found them to be quite funny when watched on DVD in close succession.

Besides, as those episodes told us, perhaps prophetically, "Michael Bluth will return..."

Heh...I had no idea it was a hotlink. I lifted the article excerpt with cut & paste and it dropped the pic in along with it, so I guess I presumed it somehow embedded it in the post itself. Good to know all that does is hotlink it, though. (I don't think the old software would include a pic in the post with a simple cut & paste.) :)
