The Beggining of the End for The Asylum?

Well everyones favourite rip off merchants the Asylum have been contacted by lawyers by Fox studios over their new movie "The Day the Earth Stopped" (Three guesses what this movie is a rip off about :p)

This week, the studio quietly took action against the Asylum, firing off a lengthy cease-and-desist letter and hiring attorneys to go after the prolific purveyor of high-end, low-budget knockoffs of Hollywood blockbusters.

So what do you think? Will the Asylum be taken to court? Will they carry on? Will nothing happen.

In a way, I hope The Asylum carries on. Granted all their movies are truly awful, but I cannot help but be amused by their blatent "up-yours" to Hollywood!

If anything the main "Star" in The Day the Earth Stopped probably puts in a better performance than Keanu Reeves!!

^ They already ripped off Cloverfield with a "movie" called Monster. I personally can't wait for their Larry Porter franchise to kick off.

You know, if this ever went to court, the money Fox would spend on lawyers could fund like six Asylum movies.

You know those Tugg Speedman "Scorched" movies from Tropic Thunder? I'm wondering when The Asylum will get around to making their own version of those.
