Why does everyone hate Riley? She's a good addition to the show and quite teh hottie.

What's good about her? What does she add to the show? We already had an angst-ridden John last season. Now we have teen rebellion John. I'm ready for John to stop acting stupid, and Riley only adds to his poor judgment. Yes, I know he saved Cameron and trusted her when he shouldn't, but that was a bad decision as well.

To a lot of people all Riley is is evidence of Fox interference. She wasn't even supposed to - originally - appear until episode 9. Fox demanded her coming in in episode 2 (without any real planning for the character having been completed).

She is "annoying" personified. She is a character that is clearly forced into the show by outside pressure. she is too "bright" too "bubbly" too Annoying for the tone of the show, she has so very much annoying interactions with John, and makes Johns interactions with others bad when he is in her presence. She, and to a lesser extent the pregnant neighbour, detract from the tone of the show.

Oh how I pray for Cromartie or Cameron or someone to just off her.

^ I'm scared because she's beginning to grow on me.
