You know, I've been trying refrain from giving him a hard time as well, but that thread bomb is so appropriate.

Uhh, excuse me? I don't believe Tharp even made the image in question, because usually he says when it's his own and it's generally pretty obvious by the style. My comments were directed at whomever made the image, which I assumed to be someone not of this board, and there's no rule stating that you can't criticize random dude from the internet.
Furthermore, this bullshit that it's okay to consistently make up blatantly false accusations about people and repeatedly use it in order to troll their supporters being perfectly acceptable but then saying that truthfully and sincerely calling them out on their behavior being ignorant or bigoted is a horrible thing to do and must be cracked down on needs to stop. It's allowed TrekBBS to be a haven for some particularly hateful people, all under the guise of preserving politeness.
Truth is, I wasn't even mad at this particular example, just poking fun at the fact that the person clearly doesn't know shit about socialism or even how to spell his intended target's name.
And why even drag this up now? It's from a week ago and everyone has move on. It's more disruptive to the board to bring it up again, especially considering no one even made an issue out of it at the time.

Its a bomb not my personal belief even though I didn't vote for the guy. But don't get uptight I've seen more than my fair share of anti-Bush stuff that more than crossed some lines. This is, I'm guessing, a spoof of those "W" the Warlord mockery stickers. I didn't make it, only sharing it.
If I have any "hope" its that he won't "progressively" take the country any more socialist than it has moved already cause Bush and the GOP dissapointed me as well.
