Burger King Promotion

The new movie will be promoted with a line of Burger King toys. This makes ST09 the first Trek movie since TMP to be promoted by a major fast food chain.

It's also going to get me into a Burger King for the first time in a year. Not that BK wants me saying this, but I'm lovin' it. (Story via TrekMovie)

This reminds me of something jon1701 said a long while back, when this movie was new and the fans were restless:

trek needs to be great again. This is the only way to do it. I want to see Trek blazenend across billboards. I want to see shitty plastic Star Trek toys free with my fucking Burger King meal. I want to see kids with Star trek lunchboxes wearing fake fucking spock ears. I want people queuing round the fucking block telling me to "live long and prosper

Closer and closer to fulfillment...

I agree, wowbagger, I haven't been to a Burger King in a long while (their mayo literally makes me puke). But I will find something to buy to get the new toys!

This is great news. Burger King usually handle the "bigger kids" promotions like Iron Man, Indiana Jones, Transformers, etc. They are in good hands!

Speaking of, does anyone remember about 10 years ago when Dairy Queen had those "Strike Force" (I thikn) ships you could buy? Now THOSE were awesome!

I'm pretty sure that Generations had been promoted by either Burger King or McDonalds, at least here in Germany. I definitely remember a Bird Of Prey being amongst the toys. The only reason I didn't get any of them was because I didn't want to order the kids meal.
