The viewscreen is the first time Ive thought "hang on this isnt right", will see what its all about though it may still be a viewscreen which just looks like its a window.

Capt April, you should put that in your sig, would save you alot of time repeating it plus it would then appear on every post you make without you having to type it to express it

I can think of a bunch of things CRA can put in his sig line to appropriately describe himself.

Nothing wrong with my temper. I'm not the one getting bent out of shape over these pictures.

Unlike me, many of you have accepted the situation of your imprisonment and will die here like rotting cabbages.

Explain? Please cite reasoning, as opposed to needless and nondescriptive snark intended only to annoy. We've heard that too many times from you already for it to serve any useful purpose.

And try not to be quite so obvious, OK?

    Edit:

    Never mind...
    That's trolling. So warned.

Try "counting" instead of "sensing." Dealing in facts instead of wishful thinking will improve your currently unimpressive analytic skills.

I think it DOES look more like other bridges than some are willing to admit. I just did some tinkering. If you add more light to the other bridges, they suddenly don't look so different. Conversely try darkening the new bridge for the same effect. Personally I hope that during red, or even yellow alerts, the inside lights dim. I just don't think the glare from inside lighting is beneficial, in fact it would be a distraction.
When have facts ever stood in the way of this type of fanboy? Even seeing is not believing to some.

Madden- Here's Kirk and he's making a pass at the hostess but is intercepted by Spock. Spock brings up some details on the Enterprise and Kirk tries to sideline Spock.

Kirk passes it to Bones and Bones diverts Spocks attention. Kirk makes a beeline to the hostess and TOUCHDOWN!

Also, now that we have pictures... the viewscreen is no longer flat, but curved.:vulcan:

No, you're just getting bent out of shape with people who don't follow your line of thinking.

Well, these new pics don't really change anything in my bridge except that there's now a window (maybe) in the wall in front of the viewer.

It might not be a window, they could've included the saucer rim to help give the audience a clue as to where the bridge is on the ship. Also, to make the bridge less of a disconnected 'set'.

Where the heck is the window on the exterior? It doesn't look like it's on the trailer ENT.

The only think I think is wrong with your idea is why is the viewer (Im guessing its the blue line in front of the helm/nav console) so far away from the front wall of the bridge?

To me from the photos the viewer looks like its part of the wall (unless Im just reading your diagram wrong, if so then sorry)

Some posters will have a problem no matter what... If that black rectangle is the viewscreen/window then it would be to helm/nav's right.. it is off-center.:vulcan:

What exactly are you driving at? The dome? Or that tiny little black rectangle that's almost on the top of the dome?

Anyway, any notion of a front window was quickly rejected when regular production began, plus the notion wasn't really supported at any point (just recheck that first scene on the bridge in "WNMHGB" when Kirk orders the "viewer" to be turned "on.")

Exactly, since the bridge was rotated 36 degrees on the TOS ship.

I never understood where that idea came from, nor the logic behind it.
