Really enjoyed this episode. I wasn't sold on 13 last season--I thought Amber was much more interesting and should have been the pick--but I'm really warming to her this season. I'm intrigued by the Huntington's angle, and think it's kind of a risky move to have her grappling with it.

I felt so bad for her when she finally opened up and let herself get close to the girl, only to find out in the end the other woman wasn't in the same boat she was in.

The House/Wilson stuff was excellent. They're going to be side by side at a nursing home together one day in matching rocking chairs, still arguing.

Wilson's being "back" by playing jokes on House was great.

And there were some nice, tender, moments between POTW and Thirteen, like when Thirteen curled up in bed with POTW.

Yup, they make a wonderful Odd Couple. Felix and Oscar would approve. ;)

PD's medical review had an interesting point.

The disease POTW had wouldn't only make her lips and tear ducts dry but she'd be dry in other areas too.

    13 should've noticed. ;)

Also loved it when Foreman and House finished a sentence together.

Foreman: "These conversations go both ways."
    Foreman/House: "... Like Thirteen."

Interestingly, checking TV.com this episode was written by women. I find that surprising.

    Directed by a man, though.

    House: "What's [Wilson] doing now?"
Lucas "Playing that car-jacking videogame. He'd get a lot further if he didn't stop at all of the red lights."

I've been watching the reruns on USA, and lastnight saw one from 2006 I think, that I think was called "Casting Out Judas" ? It had the Tritter storyline nearing it's apparent conclusion, as well as a POTW involving a little daugher of bickering divorced parents. I mention that last part, because in teh story a judge awards temporary custody to Cuddy. This seemed to be the first time I encountered her wanting to have a baby. Is that accurate, or was there an earlier reference? It was VERY well played and quite a nice job by both Lisa Edelstein and Robert Sean Leonard.

House deduced that she was shopping for a sperm donor when she and Wilson went out to dinner, and he helped her with her hormone shots. I'm pretty sure both of those were before that episode.

I'm enjoying the USA reruns. I came to the show last season, so it's good to learn the storylines.

Except that in "...Judas" Cuddy tells Wilson about her three previous attempts at in vitro, and it came across as if it was news to Wilson himself. That would seem to imply that the dinner and the hormone shots came after this episode. Then again I ahve not seen all of those previous episodes

Cuddy's desire to have a child was an in-and-out story arc during Season 3 and, IIRC, part of Season 2 (towards the end.)

The arc was all-but dropped by the time Season 3 ended and Season 4 began.

A few more eps like this one, and this show just might become a hit. House and I were thinking the same thing in regards to 13.

House going through vicodin withdrawal and going off on Cuddy about how bad of a mother she'd be was one of the coldest things I've EVER seen on TV.
