If you needed medical care...

Which Trek Doc would you rather have treat you. A Holographic Doc, A Genetically Enhanced Doc, Dr Bev Crusher, Dr Kathrine Pulaski, Dr McCoy
or Dr Pholx and why would you choose them...

I'd have to go for Bashir. First off (and most importantly), I think I could get along with him the best, and I dunno about you, but that puts me more at ease at a doctor's visit. Plus...eye candy. ;)

(Though I also think I'd be pretty trusting of Crusher and McCoy as well--can't really say why.)

Among the choices offered, I choose Pulaski. She's not incompetent. McCoy is okay, but Pulaski has a century more medicine behind her.

The EMH. He has to have more medical knowledge programmed into him than all the other CMOs combined.

I chose the genetically enhanced doctor. Obviously.

Either the EMH or Phlox, who had a lot of experience and seemed to have degress in just about anything. (Disregarding for a moment the fact that the other doctors have access to an additional couple of centuries of medical knowledge.)

Basher of EMH, the first because I think you could have a laugh with him alongside him being a good doc, the EMH just for being a good doc.

They could both come up with very inventive mad solutions if there was something seriously wrong with you (posatronic brains and holographic lungs)

Crusher and Pulaski just did not seem to have a sense of empathy radiating from her,

How about Dr. Boyce? He'd at least mix you a drink after curing what ails you...or mix the drink to cure what ails you! ;)

And I know what you're probably thinking...who is Dr. Boyce? I'll let it stew for a bit...

Of all the Docs I'd like to be treated either by McCoy or Bashir. But seemed to be very very competent but also able to easily be your friend during you treatment. They showed (not that they are the only ones but they were the best) that they cared about you as a person.

Compared to most of the docs I know, any of the above would seem to be two or three centuries ahead.

Oh. They are two or three centuries ahead.

Nevermind.

Consider that the EMH has nothing beyond his programming and that the other tyros mentioned wouldn't know what to do with a horta if you gave them a trowel and a sack of cement with instructions written on the bag.. Give credit where its due. I'd rather have sarcasm and a chance to pull through with a doctor who would try anything that might work [I'm a doctor and apparently a brick mason? Sums up McCoy and Pulaski] than no chance at all.

Dr. Pulaski. She's competent and all business. I'd trust her completely. ^^

Wouldn't mind Bones or the EMH either. Or Bashir... Phlox would creep me out a little, though, but I guess I could manage...

Oh well, basically anyone but Crusher. Don't let her come near me or there will be... an incident.;)

McCoy or Pulaski. Both have training with an ability to be practical as well. Both bucked their respective captains when it would benefit their patients.

I'm not doubting that *ALL* of the doctors mentioned here have the ability to treat me. But 'bedside manner' is also important. I won't be treated by a grouch.

Haha! House is awesome...

I'd prefer Bashir for a human... but I'm a bit stuck since the EMH has a whole computer database of info... I know that sounds absurd given what we know about the human brain... so yeah, I'll go with Bashir...
I'm not familiar with Pulaski...?
