How the heck did I win? Minnesota's defense got 17 points despite allowing 27!? *goes to check the stats and scoring*

EDIT: Ah, here we go:
Interceptions: 1x1pt = 1pt
Fumbles: 2x2pts = 4pts
Blocked Kick: 1x2pts = 2pts
Touchdown: 1x6pts = 6pts
Sacks: 1x1pt = 1pt
TOTAL: 17pts

Holy crap. Sorry, CV, that was pure luck rather than anything I did to the roster (wasn't much I could do anyways).

EDIT2: That's it, I'm dropping Marques Colston. Apparently, he's not expected back until the Saints go to London in Week 8. Besides, I need the roster spot for my bye-week players.

Wow, my Freak Parade is still riding pretty high... not bad for this being my first time and not knowing what I'm doing!

Done and done, pleasure doing business with you!

Yeah, thanks for trading me defective goods! :) With Kellen Winslow playing Monday night and having an "undisclosed illness", I don't think I can risk putting him in the lineup. I can only hope the Randy Moss part of the deal pays off.

Yeah, thats just how fantasy goes sometimes. I saw the final score in the Vikes game, and then saw how many points their defense was worth.

A little stat checking tells a big story...

Indeed it does.

I'm hoping that my luck holds this week, but with 4 players on a bye (including my two best RBs, one of whom is injured too) and one injured, I'm in trouble.

Figures that the week I drop Derek Anderson in the ESPN league, he has his best game of the year. It seems like I can make any player come alive just by dumping them from my roster.

Sure wish I hadn't made that trade in the AFC Yahoo league. Randy Moss is proving to be pretty mediocre without Brady and Kellen Winslow's injury (read somewhere that his balls swelled up to the size of grapefruits) sounds like it might keep him out for a while.

Made a stupid move in one of my keeper leagues- I picked up Akers to replace my kicker (bye week), but then forgot to put him in my lineup. I ended up playing without a kicker and it cost me 16 points.

I could say the same thing about Rivers. I didn't drop him in ESPN, but I think you got him after I dropped him in Yahoo. The week I think he really would have a bad week, he goes off. Now I really feel like I'm cursing my players and whoever I pick in pick-em. It's a crazy season that's for sure.

NOOOOOO! Romo out for four weeks? I so did not need another injury.

And of course, my new backup Matt Ryan is out this week. Argh! *adds Derek Anderson*

What was the illness anyways? I'm sure he'll be back in no time though.
They haven't said anything officially, but apparently it has something to do with some really bad swelling in his nether region. Looks like he may be inactive this week as well.

From rotoworld:

Kellen Winslow (illness) did not practice on Wednesday.

Winslow is still at home trying to get the swelling in his testicles to subside. Yeah, it's gross, but it's true. He's questionable for Week 7.

Wow. I can say without a doubt I did not see that coming.

I feel bad for K2. I'm sitting here at home with a mysteriously swollen ankle that hurts like hell, but I'd still take that over swollen nads any day.

Yeah, that's what his girlfriend said.

Ba da bing!

love the amusing injuries that have to show up on reports. Like at the begining of the MLB season, when that 2B guy (from Houston, maybe?) was on the DL because of anal fissures... :guffaw:

Kazuo Matsui of Houston. As luck would have it, I owned him at the time as well. Hope there's not some bizarre pattern developing there.

My team played like shit today, and had my top WR on a bye and my top RB injured yet again this week. Also picked the wrong QB to start, but that would not have mattered with how poorly I did this week.

My yahoo team went on a rampage today. 139.9 points, with Cutler still to go. Probably won't top Tornado's 157.8 point performance in week three, but I have a shot.

Quite often thats the silver lining in huge loss. There's no reason to second guess yourself.

I had a game where I left 80 points on the bench. I ended up winning, but barely. You have no idea how badly I would have been kicking myself if I lost that game.
