Well, if you're not going to see it, you're no longer in their target demographic, and they're not going to change their tune for you. But now at least you have your visual proof that it is a reboot, and since you're not going to see it, you can just ignore it, if possible (it may be difficult).

I want them to admit it first before I can ignore it.

Wow, you're stubborn. And not even towards a useful end! It's clearly a visual reboot, what more do you really expect to get?

MattJC's been doing this since day one. It always comes down to the same thing:

He wants coddled, and he wants his way.
He's getting neither.

Instead, people seem to be getting excited or at least interested in the movie, and he can't stand it.

The more I look at the bridge, the more I like it. Certainly not what I was expecting, and I was taken aback slightly by how bright it was. But, as in most cases, I dare say that it will like significantly different in motion than it does in one still photograph. The fact that it's not an exact replica from the TV series doesnt bother me like it does some here, that may have something to do with the fact that i've never even seen an original series episode, so I don't even a basis for comparison Everything else looks great, Pine in particular. The only one not really grabbing me by the balls is Nero. But, im optimistic.

It's a waste of time. Someone doesn't like the new "Star Trek;" boo-hoo-hoo.

Kirk is roughed up quite a bit in these shots, which appear to all be taken from the same general point in the movie. I'm guessing that he lost his gold shirt in a fight of some kind.

It seems like all the shots they released are from the same scene or a couple back to back scenes. Kirk is out in the snow, he makes it back on the ship, there is discussion on the bridge, Spock flips out, ect.

I don't see why there's any reason to believe that these scenes go in any particular order, or whether they are near in time to each other or not.

That was my thought initially because I assumed his gold shirt being off would be a temporary thing. It could be half the movie though, who knows. Also because it looked as though the damage to his face was consistent throughout. And because it seems like a weird Abrams-like thing to do to avoid giving away much.

Oh so a redesigned bridge shows it's a reboot? TMP, ST5, ST6, TNG, Generations, FC, and Nemesis must be reboots then. Huh. Didn't know that.

The producers claim this movie is set just a few years before TOS.
I find it hard to believe that this shiny state of the art peice of garbage is supposed to be the same bridge we seen in TOS.

TMP takes place a little over a year after TOS. And Roddenberry expects us to believe that that shiny state of the art garbage is the Enterprise?

over 2.5 years after. and it was 'almost a totally new enterprise' according to the dialog, so it's easy to believe starfleet was taken over temporarily by designers who were enslaved by beige tones.
