Star Trek covers EW

Answer my question. Or leave. You contribute nothing here.

I did answer it.

No you didn't.

So I will ask you again:

Why do you care when you're not going to see this film anyway?
Why all the animosity for the producers and writers of this film?
What parts of this film have you already seen to qualify your definitive conclusions regarding this film?

If this isn't a reboot, then I'd like to hear exactly what the morons behind this movie think this is.

It's Star Trek, Jim. But not as we know it.

Bingo! Its highly possible that it could both be a "reboot" (what an elastic word "It depends upon what the definition of 'is' is"), and within the scope of "canon". All depends upon THE STORY not the VISUALS.

Sharr

The look of the ship is just as much canon as the dates and facts, etc., etc. are.

Not nearly to the extent of the story...

If it was all the planets in TOS were actually paper mache and styrofoam. They have to update the look...they HAVE to...or it will look cheap.

Holy god, whoever worked the airbrush on that cover needs to be fired. Pine doesn't look too bad, but poor Zach Quinto!

I like the actual in-film pictures. And I don't care if this movie is a reboot or if it remains entirely within continuity. That doesn't matter to me. The only thing that matters is that the movie is good. Frak with canon all you like, as long as you give us a good movie!

Answer my question or leave.

I don't like that the producers won't admit it's reboot.
They're telling Trek fans what they want to hear, not the truth.
It shouldn't be that hard for these people to admit it.
We're not the target audience they're going for.
No, they want us to spend our money on this before they admit it's a reboot.
If you're going to kick me in the balls by doing a reboot, at least have the decency to do it free of charge.

It's my money to spend whether I want to watch it or not, and yes, I want to spend my money and watch it. If you don't want to, nobody is forcing you to.

Why do you care if you have no intention of seeing this film?
What have you seen of this film that makes you draw a definitive conclusion about it?

I will gladly kick you in the balls free of charge.

No, but Abrams and his pals are making up bullshit about canon when it's obvious it's a reboot.
What part of this film have you seen on which to draw this conclusion?

For some reason, I really think this is version 1 of the bridge, and sometime during the film Enterprise gets the shit beat out of her, and at the end of the film when Kirk becomes Captain Kirk, the Enterprise bridge will be more like the original after the repairs are complete.

Or it's an alternate time line bridge.

Good ideas! That would explain these shots be released amid supposedly tight secrecy. We'll all be totally blown away when a more familiar bridge is paraded on screen during the film.
