Wow...those are large pics.

Still, nice to have more evidence that a traditional gunbarrel sequence will return.

Makes sense they would go back to the traditional gunbarrel, due to the fact that they can't replicate what happened in Casino Royale for Quantum of Solace.

As much as I liked seeing the Casino Royale version of the gunbarrel sequence, I am really looking forward to the return of the classic.

Yes, even more so now. Remember, the last time they did the regular gunbarrel, it was with the one bullet in Die Another Day. Even though that was nice, I think we just need the regular gunbarrel to return.

Well, Casino Royale was a reboot of the franchise, and as such Bond hadn't *yet* been elevated to the status of a '00' agent until 12(?) minutes into the start of the movie. He also had to prove his mettle in the field to become the gritty, tough Bond that we know. It makes sense that the gun barrel sequence would now appear in Quantum of Solace.

^For the same reason, we only hear snippets of the "James Bond Theme" during the film, until the very end when we finally hear it in full.

I'm glad to see the traditional gunbarrel return. Hopefully they'll forgo the CGI bullet, which was incredibly silly.

I didn't know if that was the case, or if they'd have kept it going if Bond 21 had been another Brosnan film rather than CR.

I doubt it. That bullet seemed 100% Tamahori.

I think they had the bullet in an ad for an earlier Broz, but not in the actual gunbarrel (GE or TND, maybe?)

Otherwise I'd agree, it fits with his zippyupfucked editing and other stuff that dates the show.

In the DAD commentary, Tamahori states that he wanted to so something special and unique for the 20th, which is why he added the bullet. He also suspected that it would probably not return after DAD.
