post JEDI..come on!!!

Of the three post-ROTJ products I think would make good cartoons/movies:

-Dark Empire
-Thrawn Trilogy
-NJO

I think each of these works have compelling villians and epic enough storylines to justify making a movie for. Another I would like to see as well, Crimson Empire, Pt.1 perhaps as a sequel or something to Dark Empire. Dark Nest might be interesting. I think that LOTF was too poorly executed to be a great series of movies or cartoons. However, if they beef up Jacen/Caedus more as a villian it might be pretty good.

Okay..I see there is a tone of material already out there..the question is, do Star Wars fans, as a majority, support a cartoon series/movies going there? Or, is it a general belief among them to just let the future, post Jedi, live in the comic book/novel worlds?

What?? :cardie:
It is Thrawn trilogy or Zhan trilogy, as in Timothy Zhan who wrote the 3 part epic that will likely serve as episodes 7, 8 and 9.

Is it the same thing?

I think anything with Star Wars in the title would attract views and attention. Plus in my experience the majority of fans have no or little interest in the EU so the amount of material would not matter to them.

The Thrawn trilogy was written by Zahn. It is as likely to serve as episode 7, 8, and 9 as Jabba becoming a spoke person for Jenny Craig.

A post-ROTJ cartoon? But-but who would they get to voice Luke? If only there was an established VO actor w/both SW and other cred, they might pull it off, but otherwise....

An animated miniseries adaptation of the Thrawn trilogy might be an interesting novelty, but in terms of primary source material, better stick to the novels.
