Peeps:
I think the key here is "Starfleet munchkin." In other words, young kids who are Starfleet officer wannabes or who became officers. So Alexander was never in Starfleet. Neither, up till the point we saw her, was Molly O'Brien.

Jake shouldn't be included in the poll because he was the 24th century equivalent of a military brat, not a Starfleet cadet or officer.
If you had named the poll most annoying ST munchkin, you could've added Alexander Rozhenko and Molly O'Brien for sure. And then Jake would fit, too.

A tribute to Jake Sisko

To me it's 1. Alexander, 2. Molly.
Jake would fit, but I wouldn't vote for him. He's not annoying, he grows up into a remarkable person. And set aside his freakish asparagus proportions, he becomes quite alluring. How many real dreamers are there in Star Trek? His choice of profession calls for respect - he stands out for it in the DS9 universe like the Pierre Bezukhov of War and Peace (the outsider/passive observer who represents the author himself).
One would think that fans, particularly fanfic writers would identify with him.

Good thing Lofton filled out. But if you look closer, he's not larger than Eisenberg, he just has more square shoulders and wears a waistcoat.

My goodness, what a nice smile!

I haven't even SEEN the Voyager episodes in question, but from the plot synopses I've read, and that little convention report, I'll have to go with Icheb.

I never had any problem with the kids on DS9--in general, I think the show just did better with the whole "family life" concept than any of the others. (Though I DID have a problem with Keiko...)

As for Wesley...I didn't like him much at all, but I did think it helped his character a little compared when they had him getting involved in that idiocy with the Kolvoord Starburst and trying to cover it up. After all, high IQ does not always mean good judgment (and even leads to arrogance).

As for Naomi...I'll have to stay neutral on that one.
