I never said I was for an all-England team, nor did I suggest that there should be English players in the squad. I was merely trying to make a constructive point about Wenger's methods turning in profit through turnover & trophies.
You got the wrong end of the stick. Now you're accusing me of being something I'm not, because you chose to read between lines that simply weren't there. Maybe it wasn't hostility - just a super-defensive attitude.
Maybe you feel Wenger's methods haven't worked?
Your previous posts made reference to the number of foreigners in the Arsenal team. This is a particularly tired criticism of Arsenal.
If I misread your intentions then I apologise, but the criticism of our youth and transfer policies gets a bit old after a while.
I am always puzzled why Gallas was selected Capitan over Kolo Toure.
Because it's tired doesn't make it not valid.![]()

Same, Toure would have been the more obvious choice. I dunno, maybe Arsene felt Gallas was more experienced, he is 31 compared to Toure's 27.
Oh come on, sarcasm and hostility (with a touch of xenophobia) is all we Arsenal fans get from ENGLAND FIRST types who can't accept that it is not Arsenal's job to prepare players for the England team. Arsene Wenger's job is to win football matches for Arsenal, not England and if they were asked Benitez (who told Cappello where to go when scheduling Gerrard's surgery), Scolari and Ferguson would agree with him.
Or better still, get rid of the fourth spot. It's ridiculous it's available to begin with.
Surely I'm not the only one who laughed himself blue in the face when he read the £135m Ronaldo bid? And then, just as the tears were finally drying, I read on and this crazy Arab is saying he's going to buy Fabregas AND Torres AND Berbatov AND Messi AND Kaka AND...
If stories like this are going to become common then Man City have made the media side of football a better place![]()

They offered Madrid a blank cheque for Van Nistelrooy of all people!
Personally, if that's what they're after I don't understand why they don't go the whole way and just form a European super league.
Alan Curbishley has resigned as manager of West Ham.
Because it would fail, can you imagine how much away tickets would cost having every 2nd ga,e i na different country, especially how much it would cost clubs to be jetting all the way around Europe for 8 months for away games.
I think they should maybe rename the whole CL (the European Cup for the trophy is ok but Champinos League is a little stupid considering majorty of the clubs in it are NOT champions of there own league.
