Who do you like better, Seven or Kes?

The one thing I have always found funny was that Kes only died because Wang/Harry Kim saved himself at like the last second.

What do you mean he saved himself?

Apparently, from what I understand, the producers of Voyager were originally going to remove Harry instead of Kes in the fourth season. But then Garrett Wang appeared on People's Most Beautiful People (or something like that) list some time prior to season four going into development and it was decided that he would stay. Thing is, they'd already hired Jeri. So, rather than cut the pay of the actors, they got rid of Kes.

Likely, this is why Harry's pretty much on death's door in Scorpion Part I and five minutes into Part II is back at his post.

Kes was warmer than 7.

7 was far more attractive but i'd still take Kes.

But Kes's voice was annoying to me. It didn't sound complete.

And I firmly believe the only reason 7 got the part was because she was humping the writer.

And I'd prefer Maryanne over Ginger. You can't trust actors because they're the best liars in the world and you'd never know if they were honest or not. Plus actors are far more flighty than farm girls and farm girls are more likely to stay with you than an actor.

I'm going to vote for Seven. With that being said though, I still liked Kes. In the episode where she returns and runs havoc on Voyager; it shows how excellent of an actress she really was. That was a good episode in my opinion.

As for Harry, I didn't really like or dislike him in the show; he was just kind of there. In the Voyager books though, his character is better developed and his girlfriend, Libby Webber, plays a significant role in Starfleet Intellegence after they return home.

When I first watched through VOY's run, I vastly preferred Seven to Kes. Now, after watching through the episodes more, while I still like Seven better, Kes isn't so bad. I really wish the kept them both on the show and dumped Harry off.

They shouldn't have dumped anyone, even if they did have to add Seven to the show. No one was dumped from DS9 when Worf was brought in.

Just want to mention that "Body and Soul" was broadcast on Spike yesterday; and once again, I laughed all the way through it. Jeri's portrayal of the Doctor was brilliant.

Yeah, you're right, they shouldn't have had to get rid of anyone.

I guess if they absolutely had to toss off a character, it wouldn't have bothered me if they got rid of Harry since I never liked him for the most part anyway.
