Worst Song Ever Written

Many good suggestions here, but my list is topped by Tell Laura I Love Here.

This over-wrought turkey can't even be saved by an amusing video.

The horror that is "Macarena." There was even a stupid dance move to go with it. It has been plaguing every white-trash wedding ever since.

Macarena was the first song that came to mind, but Nickleback's Rockstar is right up there with it.

OT, but M'Sharak, what made you decide to go all "WETA steampunk" for your avatar? :D

Ooh! Ooh! How about "Don't Worry Kyoko" by Yoko Ono?

Anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about should be grateful....

ARRGHH!!

Sorry. Reading your post made me remember it. :D

BTW - I was watching a DVD called The Get Back Chronicles the other day - it contains the Let It Be footage plus loads of stuff that never made it to the final cut - some of it showed John, Paul and Ringo having a musical freakout while Yoko basically screamed into a microphone. For about ten minutes.

Not that I heard more than the first ten seconds, as I hit the FF button pretty damn quickly...

It's not like I'm exposed to a lot of awful music, but the song "Toxic" by Britney Spears makes me want to do unspeakable things to my own ears.

Sounds like something amazingly similar to what can be heard on Track 26 of Disc 1 (recorded at the same time as Some Time in New York City.)

I gotta agree. Of course, IMO, everything by her is shit.
