"Jeremiah" to air on Sci-Fi Channel

I watched a couple of episodes yesterday and enjoyed it well enough. Sort of like a earlier version of the similarly named Jericho in a way. Samwise's character Mister Smith was the most interesting aspect of the show in the two episodes I saw.
I was hoping to find somewhere to watch the rest of the episodes online but no luck so far. If the second season isn't out on DVD I doubt it would be online either.

More like stupid MGM. It was because of them that JMS passed on a third season.
I did miss the original theme but...hey, it's a JMS show so you have to figure that the opening title will be changing from year to year.
I love the second season and hope that it does come out someday on DVD. The original, that is; not the sanitized version.

Correct me if I'm wrong, which is entirely feasible, but weren't the ratings for Season 2 less than great? It was widely known that Joe was leaving at the end of the second season, but AFAIK both MGM and Showtime were still open to a third season had the numbers dictated. Sadly, they didn't.
^^ You may be correct, I don't honestly know. But given that it was *months* (my memory says over a year, another source says at least 10 months) between the first seven and last eight being shown in the US, how surprising is that? As I recall, word never came down that it was actually cancelled, it was just allowed t lapse.

I'm just happy that they're finally showing season 2. I only got to see it through dvd, and never got to see season 2 until now.

No word on that one yet but The Real Ghostbusters is either out now or due out shortly.

I happened to see the episode where Mr. Smith's big secret is revealed (he's a...historian?) I like Sean Astin in the role a lot, but that was pretty underwhelming. Overall, I got the same feeling as in S1 - it's very underproduced and there are very few characters that truly grab my interest, and that makes it a bit hard to really get into.
I think JMS had big plans for Smith-the show just didn't last long enough. I would have killed to see his "origin" story. And that cryptic remark about how Kurdy was making history-and so was Jeremiah, but in a different way has stayed with me since the first time I saw it. Obviously, a lot more was planned. JMS loved his foreshadowing....
That's hardly his biggest secret.

All sarcasm aside, I was underwhelmed with Interregnum. Did they know when the episode was written it would be the last? It seemed a little rushed on some plot points. Daniel's people went from being portrayed as an interesting adversary when initially introduced into a bad fascism parody. IDK, maybe I just miss the sweep of the story line JMS had going in B5.

JMS knew that he wouldn't return for a third season if there was one but it's not uncommon for shows to change showrunners so he left enough threads open that somebody new could have picked them up if they'd been inclined. As for rushed, yes, the whole season was somewhat rushed but then the season had been cut from 20 hours in the first to 15 in the second.
