Bolian Books?

Can anyone tell me if there have been any interesting Bolian characters in the Trek novels or comics? I've always wished that the species would have been explored more on the various TV series.

There's Tirist Jast, who gets a bit of attention in Avatar: Book 1. Mr. Mot, his family and a colony of Bolians are showcased in Genesis Wave 1 and 2. That's pretty much all I can think of off the top of my head.

That colony sounds interesting. Do they drop any hints about Bolian culture in the story?

Yes, there's some discussion of Bolian cultural beliefs. I believe it's largely an expansion of what VGR: "Death Wish" established about their views on assisted suicide.
