Spock's comment that Gem was humanoid but not Homo Sapien was a little odd. Are Vulcans considered Homo Sapiens? It may have been better to say she was not one of the known humanoid species.

Technically, Earth humans are the only humanoids called Homo Sapiens. At least that's the impression I've gotten from watching all the TREK incarnations over the course of my life.

By the way, I must mention that Katherine Hays did create a Sound of Music-type tingle beneath the two layers below my belt. Do a dear, a female dear. The difficulty with desiring candidates for the novitiate is that you need a crowbar to get under their costumes. But Ms Hays, I do not care if you are 70 now, I want to show you my favorite things. At least one of them/

Even after all these years, Hays still has the same eyes and facial expressions. She's still Gem...even if she's a MUCH older and wrinklier Gem.

^ But some of us have them from playing a kinky game of Whack-A-Mole.

I never did sound off on this one. I actually like this episode but the remastering was rather lack luster. McCoy rocks!

Hmm, no name calling, ok. You are a woman. You are not a man. I am a woman too, but with growths that necessitate my particpating in procreation. If you make a decision regarding this necessity that transgresses law, you won't be around to sass, or you may sass from a cobwebbed sling chair. Now, is baboons really THAT horrible?

By the way, Katherine Hays should hum the Sound of Music with her mouth full. Please linger on the bridge a few minutes. That is all. goodbye.

Hmm, I've said it before and will say it again: This Episode Evokes a Wide Range of Human Emotions.

Still would love to see how it cuts across the demos.

My Deltan Oath is on record: it sucks, remastered or not. But that's just one man's opinion, and I'm open to yours.

It's nowhere near the best of Season 3, but the final year had more than a few that were a LOT worse. A lot.
