John Doe was awesome. A great show before shows like Monk and Psyche.

S2 fell off a cliff. I wasn't sad to see it go.

I'm limiting my list SF&F shows (obviously) that lasted less then three seasons (so no Farscape and Angel).
Anyway, here are my top five:
    - Firefly
    - Wonderfalls
    - Dead Like Me
    - Surface
    - Blade

Like you and Temis, that's why I didn't list Farscape myself. It was canceled, and we would have seen more in that fifth season than just what we saw in "The Peacekeeper Wars". Yet the series did last a full four seasons, which seems to move it out of the same category as what most of us are discussing.

I was wondering if anyone was going to mention "Secret Adventures..." :bolian:

I'll add "Space Rangers", CBS, mid-90s, IIRC.

Well...since I can't mention Farscape...here's how my list would go:

    1) Firefly: excellent!
    2) Wonderfalls: wacky, fun, and wonderful.
    3) Dead Like Me: Quirky & fun.
    4) Journeyman: Well written show. I really thought it was going to last..
    5) Crusade: This wasn't given a chance at all.
    6) Joan of Arcadia: Seeing this on Sci-Fi has reminded me of how much I miss it.
    7) Nowhere Man: The conspiracy in this might have been even better then X-Files.
    8) Jericho: Well written. Really good show.
    9) Strange Luck: Fun show. Wish we could've seen that XFiles crossover...
    10) Invasion: This show with Lost was such a great lineup!

Honorable mentions: Surface, The Dresden Files, Brisco County Jr, Tru Calling, V.R. 5, John Doe, Early Edition, and much, much more! lol.

Admittedly, not all of these are brilliant, but I miss them:

    Brisco County, Jr.
    Farscape
    Firefly
    Joan of Arcadia
    Justice League Unlimited
    Space: Above and Beyond
    Space: 1999
    Spider-Man (MTV Version)
    Witchblade
Wonder Woman (because I could have looked at Lynda Carter forever)

My top 2 Brilliant but canceled would be

    1) John Doe - excellent story. Fox left it hanging
    2) Tru Calling - again an excellent story and they canceled it right when it was getting great.

Personally, I was satisfied with the ending. It left things open for a second season but also gave an interesting conclusion.

And I'm also hoping CJ eventually will get a Region 1 DVD release.
