Hey guys,

After flirting with the "Trek BBS Bastard Comic Book Sub-Forum," I just decided to create my own full-fledged board for discussion of comics and some other stuff.

I know I'm not exactly beloved 'round these parts, but just try and overlook that I can be a tremendous ass sometimes and come on over. I need members and I think the board has a good chance of growing into something cool for comic book fans.

I have geared it towards where I live, but not in a big way. Anyone's welcome.

I figure if Bailey can be who he is here and manage to have a fairly often visited board, than just about anyone else can.

Starting a new board is a somewhat painful process. It's probably easier if you have a group of like-minded friends already on-line to get the ball rolling.

Well, when the owner of my local LCS emailed me last, I hit "reply to all" and told all of her customers (many of whom I know from college) about the board.

So far, I've only got thirteen members, and a lot of "returned mail" messages.

I'm guessing a lot of those addresses are defunct.

I'm hoping to somehow get it to grow through word of mouth.

There are a lot of comics boards, and thus far this one is completely generic. What, specifically, gives it "the makings of a pretty good board" rather than "another comic book BBS?"
