Best Twist Ending

I'll admit that I saw many of the twist endings coming in these films. The only one (believe it or not) that I didn't see was when I watched Silent Hill and in the end they were trapped in the netherworld.

For me, Fight Club. After watching the ending, it became one of my top 5 favorite movies of all time (is still in Top5).

As far as I can remember, the Fight Club twist is not exactly at the end of the movie.

^It isn't. Well, there is a secondary twist but not the one the whole movie was building up to, I suppose.

"Brazil" had a pretty good twist at the end.

"Devil's Rejects" had a great twist. You think the Firefly clan is going to get away with their evil once again but instead they get a Bonnie and Clyde ending instead.

Of the ones listed, The Sixth Sense.

Although I though the ending of Pulp Fiction was cool. It was a great twist having them go full circle from the beginning. And the ending to The Manchurian Candidate is friggin awesome as well, and quite surprising.

I'm also surprised that no one has mentioned Ocean's Eleven yet.

I picked The Planet of the Apes, but Usual Suspects was a good one too. However, my first instinct was No Way Out. I just didn't see that one coming!

While we're talking about older films: Detour has a pretty shocking, unexpected twist toward the end. And while the twist in The Narrow Margin doesn't quite come at the end, it's close.

Black Angel and The Woman in the Window have pretty good twist endings as well.

Except maybe The Crying Game, which was not surprising at all, they all have pretty decent twist endings. I would throw in No Way Out as another film with a decent twist not mentioned here.

I agree. I particularly like the ending to The Narrow Margin. I was really surprised by that one.

Although then ending does take away a bit from the rewatchability factor of this one...because when you rewatch it, given what happens at the end, some of the earlier stuff doesn't quite make sense unless you assume that alot of conversations took place just for show.

Still - it was fun!
