Max Grodenchik question

To get back to the question:

I would have to watch the film again to tell you where and when you could see him but I can tell you what kind of person to look out for:

"The Flight Dynamics Officer (FDO, pronounced "fido") is responsible for the overall trajectory, or flight path, of the [Apollo spacecraft] and all related payloads or other space-bound vehicles associated with the Shuttle.
The FDO is a Mission Control Center (MCC) Flight Control position at NASA's Johnson Space Center. There, along with other talented and dedicated individuals, the FDO ensures that the "big picture" mission objectives are obtained." For more details please see http://space.balettie.com/FDO.html, where the above quote was taken from.

"Gold", of course, means he is the FIDO of the gold team rather than the one of the white, black or maroon team. By the way, the real FIDO Gold was Phil Shaffer, a rather large person.

This is what he looks like without the make-up if that helps:

Well, he might be the guy with black hair that's working with the guy I mentioned above. I think he was arguing for a direct abort and not a free-return trajectory.

I met Max last year while on my first job. Probably one of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure to meet. I noticed him on the lot earlier in the morning and immediately recognized him. My initial inclination was to shout out MOOGIE!!!! but I thought better of it.

Later on he was a bit turned around so I asked if he needed any help and we started chatting. He swore up and down he'd probably met me before because he said he recognized me from somewhere. (Alpinemaps later theorized that perhaps he had seen one of my many many photos here at some point, which I thought was neat).

He wished me good luck with my writing and it was a very nice encounter.

I believe you also see him right after Ed harris puts on his white vet for the first time, he does a roll call and asks 'FIDO?' and the guy who responds could be Max. It is the haircut that throws me off. It is dark unlike his natural hair but facially it looks pretty close to the pic posted up thread.

I hate to admit this, but this would be the single case where I don't think I could've refrained! (I still say it in the correct fashion anytime anybody's mother is brought up in casual conversations... talk about a bunch of Max-ignorant/Rom-less people out there!!!!)

I met Max at a con several years ago. He couldn't have been nicer, and he plays a great character on DS9.

BTW: I like your avatar. good thinking!:bolian:

I have always thought he did a great job as Rom-hilarious when he needed to be, and serious when the scene called for it. I love his scenes, especially when he and Quark are bickering. Great stuff there!
