Colonel Green swears off genocide, devotes future to romance

Colonel Green

Vice Admiral

That's right Trek fans, Colonel Green, everyone's favorite TOS villain/abusive 'net drunk, is gettin' hitched!

Today was our third (dating) anniversary, so I took my lady down to the oceanside park where we had our 4th date for a picnic (with food from our fav local tearoom), and I popped the question. I'd intended to do it on top of a local hill that we like to hike up, but it was just too freaking hot to hike today, not to mention the lack of shade at the top.

Anyway, she said yes!

We'll be getting hitched sometime next summer!

First of all, I just want to say that I'm shocked SHOCKED that you don't look like your avatar.

Second, congrats bro, that's awesome.

Somewhere between Rob, Joss Whedon, and my brother.

Congrats... but I think you'll regret it. Genocide is fun and profitable - can't you do both?

Congratulations to both of you. :techman: Sounds like you made a great choice of a place to propose.

I love the thread title, too.

Congratulations! May you have many happy years together.

Maybe your old age retirement plans can include a little bit of ethnic cleansing, in one small part of the world. You know, just to keep the skillz up.

PS. I pulled the images onto separate lines, to stop the page-stretching. Hope that's OK. Don't cleanse me.

Thanks for the well-wishes everyone!

I'm sure I'll still find time to persecute a very small ethnic group on weekends.

As to the pic, bear in mind that we rode our bikes, so I am suffering from helmet hair

That's odd, it looked fine when I posted it  Thanks for fixing it!

You probably have a bigger screen than my laptop. :)

I'm glad you won't be giving up your hobbies completely. Every relationship should allow each partner to pursue their own interests sometimes. It's healthy. :D

Colonel Green, on behalf of all us married men on the board, I say..

RUN!! Run like the wind, man! What the hell were you thinking?

Uh..

I mean congratulations.

congrats to you both..
:)

though shameless has a point.
you could keep the ole skills sharp by practicing on those who bring shoddy wedding gifts.
or wedding crashers
;)
