Variety has updates on the international market:

Indy IV was the top moneymaker in foreign markets with $25 million in 62 territories. It's now made $392 million international and $683 million worldwide.

The Incredible Hulk held up better overseas than domestically, dropping just 28% in its second weekend in the UK. It made $23.4 million in 50 markets, bringing its international gross to $63.3 million and its worldwide gross to $159.8 million.

The Happening made $14.2 million in 64 markets, bringing it to $57 million international and $107.3 million worldwide.

Weird, I expected The Incredible Hulk to be doing a lot better than it is. I didn't expect The Happening to be doing anywhere near as well as it has done, shame it wasn't cheaper for the them to make, though they must be breaking even by now.

EDIT: On second thought I guess 100+ million isn't a bad take for an R rated movie. I'm sure The Last Airbender will fare considerably better.

The Incredible Hulk took a 61% plunge in its second week, earning $96.5 million in two weeks, still $4 million behind where 2003's Hulk was five years ago. While not such a massive drop as Hulk, this film is still behind it in terms of gross.

I'm having this sinking feeling that The Incredible Hulk won't even surpass 2003's Hulk, which is saying something. I think a domestic gross of $140 million -- as predicted by some -- is a bit far-fetched now.
It has to get another $35 million to tie Angs Hulk and I think it can do that and yes $140, or even $150m is quite a stretch at this point unless it starts to show some serious legs during the week.
Its a shame to cause while TIH could be better it is a good movie. User reviews across the net at various sites show moviegoers are much more pleased with this incarnation.
It seems too many are still allowing '03 to affect their judgement of this one.

Apparently they did not scream loud enough or clear enough in the markeing that this is not related to '03 Hulk.

Be a real shame if WANTED ends up doing better than TIH cause I saw Wanted and was really, really underwhelmed.

It's funny how these threads never talk about the actual movie, but how much it's gonna make. Is that really what boards like these come too?
The thread title alone should tell you this is a discussion about numbers and anticapted attendance of movies.

There are other threads for talking about the actual movies. This thread is for box office and those who are interested in talking about it.
Repeated for necessity

Box Office Mojo has the Friday estimates:

Wall*E made an estimated $23.3 million on Friday. That should translate to a weekend take in the high 60s or low 70s. With the kind of legs that Pixar films have it should have a domestic gross at least in the mid 200s and has a decent shot at going over 300.

Wanted opened significantly above expectations, with a Friday take estimated at $18.764 million. It should have a weekend take of just above $50 million. I'd say it'll gross somewhere in the range of $140-160 million domestic.

The Incredible Hulk is on track to make about $9-10 million this weekend, which would be a drop of 55-60%. It should be at about $115 million by the end of the weekend. The attempt to relaunch the Hulk will end up with about the same box office as Ang Lee's effort, and at higher cost.

Indy is now $11.25 million behind Iron Man in domestic box office.

Edit for the weekend estimates from Box Office Mojo:

1. Wall*E - $62.5 million (it had a lower weekend multiplier than I thought it would - It should make in the mid-200s, but 300 will now be a stretch)
2. Wanted - $51.118 million
3. Get Smart - $20 million (- 48.3%; $77.266 million so far)
4. Kung Fu Panda - $11.746 million (- 46.5%; $179.33 million so far)
5. The Incredible Hulk - $9.226 million (- 58.3%; $115.508 million so far; really bad drop for a third weekend)

7. Indy IV - $5.03 million (- 41.1%; $299.936 million so far; it'll join the $300 mil club either today or on Monday depending on what the weekend actuals turn out to be; it's now $9.24 million behind Iron Man)

It's kind of sad and depressing that The Incredible Hulk is doing so mediocre. I did enjoy the movie, and while it certainly wasn't as good as I was expecting, it did have its merits.

I am actually so-so on a sequel, but I do think that a sequel could fix some of the errors of this one ... which brings us to the same reason why Hulk got a sequel like The Incredible Hulk. While I admit that a sequel to The Incredible Hulk wouldn't need a continuation as drastic and altered as this one was to Hulk (and even then, Hulk didn't need to be rebooted), I would definitely like to see a meatier, more dramatic film if we do get one. Basically ... the movie Ed Norton intended for us to see.

Good for Wall*E but then again I about fell asleep during the first 30 minutes of the movie. Its a kids movie but will not be a $300m contender, it'll do about $250m-ish

The comic fan in me says YEAH, as it gives other lesser known propterties hope. However, having saw it its a very MEH movie. A rehash and I'm frankly surprised at the people who praise it as if it were really that fresh and new. I agree with your final take guess and its a shame cause its not a better movie than TIH.

It will do better than Ang Lees Hulk, even after inflation I do believe. It'll make about $1m+ for the next 4 days. It'll be at $121m at the start of long weekend. Most likely it'll be at the '03 Hulk total come Monday. I say this makes it to about the $145-155m range when its all said and done. It and WANTED(a lesser movie IMO) doing the same is a shame.

Indy is now $11.25 million behind Iron Man in domestic box office.
Indy is in all likelhood going to surpass Iron Man and be the domestic summer champ it seems. Its legs have been really good, not that IM's haven't, but they are holding up better. There may be less than a $5m difference when its all said and done but INDY looks poised to overtake Iron Man.

Agree. A sequel would give us a greater chance to distance ourselves from Ang more. Maybe post Avengers would be the best time for TIH:2, use that as a springboard.

Indiana Jones and his Crystal Skull has officially become the second movie of 2008 to surpass the $300m mark in its sixth weekend of release. It's WW total on the other hand is lightyears ahead of Iron Man at $713m to date.

The weekend estimates from Box Office Mojo:

1. Hancock - $66 million ($107.321 million since Tuesday night)
2. Wall*E - $33.4 million (- 47%; $128.132 million so far)
3. Wanted - $20.6 million (- 59.5%; $90.775 million so far)
4. Get Smart - $11.125 million (- 45%; $98.115 million so far)
5. Kung Fu Panda - $7.5 million (- 35.9%; $ 193.395 million so far)
6. The Incredible Hulk - $4.975 million (- 48.1%; $124.917 million so far)
7. Indy IV - $3.94 million (- 23.9%; $306.59 million so far)

12. Iron Man - $1.5 million (- 33.5%; $311.758 million so far)

Iron Man is now just $5.168 million ahead of Indy IV. Neither Hancock nor Wall*E will join the $300 million domestic club. The Dark Knight is the last film of the summer with the capacity to do so (although I think it'll land in the high 200s - hope I'm wrong about that, though).

This summer is full of big films. Literally almost week-after-week. I can understand how even great films like WALL*E would get lost in the shuffle. Even still, it should finish up at about $200 million. Not a stirring success, but a success nonetheless.

Also, interestingly enough, when I went to see WALL*E it was mostly adults. There were like two kids there in the entire theater. Perhaps the film was garnered more towards adult audiences and that's why it isn't doing as well?
