Trekin' Manilow

One of the strangest days of my life was when we were in Vegas three years back, my wife and I. We had actually gone to the Hilton to see Barry Manilow in concert. He has been doing a gig there for sometime...

So the Hilton is like heaven for us because it has Manilow for her and the Star Trek Experience for me. Well...both rooms in heaven met. We were there on a saturday, it was almost 2 in the afternoon. Not too many people, at all, were at the STAR TREK EXPERIENCE. We by passed the ride and went straight to Quarks for some drinks and later to the gift shop.

And yes, as fate would have it, Barry Manilow, with no security guards, was RIGHT there talking with the girl who was running the gift store. My wife couldn't believe her eyes. Either could I really. I know that most of you either don't care for the guy, or, are to young to know who he is. But I was surprised to find him to be very down to earth. And he knew his Star Trek. We got a picture with him, and then a picture with him along with the live sized DAX cut out as well.

Yes; the universe had flipped upside down on that day.
