Any Original Series Episodes That Have Not Been Sequelized?

Dayton3

Admiral
The only original Trek episodes that I'm pretty certain have not been followed up in some way are "Spock's Brain" and "Wink of An Eye".

Every other one I can think of has had characters that appeared in them appear in a book or comic somewhere or had the story followed up in some way.

Several more than once.

geez, I hate to think what a sequel to Spock's Brain would be like!

They didn't recover Spock's brain, but a cloned brain, genetically engineered by the Romulans, for secret surveillance of the Federation. As the clone was destroyed in ST2:TWOK, and regrown from his own DNA in ST3:SFS, the secret project was lost. Spock's real motive to visit Romulus years later in Unification was because his new brain was drawn by those mystical Vulcan forces to mind meld with the old brain, hence the real meaning of Unification, was Spock's rationalisation of an underlying instinct.

The follow up can be the real Spock brain being implanted into a new body by the Romulans in an attempt to extract information from it. The result however, is Spock's Katra taking control and finding a way of regrowing itself a new body. Of course, with all the mind melding, Kirk and McCoy are in there somewhere too.

Has there ever been a follow up to The Way to Eden? I don't recall any,

One of the "space hippies" played a major role in an issue of the original series DC comics.

He was the one who was the ambassadors son (which was why Kirk couldn't confine them all to the brig in "The Way to Eden").

In the comic story, he showed up as a Federation official sent by his father to dog Kirk's every move. Which completely ruined Kirks shore leave.

In the 1970's, an author named Wallace Moore wrote a sci-fi novel featuring the Zetarians. It was even called "The Lights of Zetar", apparently Moore was too lazy to come up with an original title. The book was part of a series of pulpish novels featuring the central character of Balzan, a human castaway among a planet of catlike aliens.

Oddly enough, although the novel features the Zetarians, it does not mention Star Trek at all in any other way.

Well, there were only two males (besides Severin) and Adam died eating the fruit, so it was very likely "the other guy". ;)

Good recall...honestly that's one of those names I used to be able to pull out of my arse when needed! Too many years have passed...but still.

very roughly, six episodes of TOS were not heard from again

TOS# 56 SPECTRE OF THE GUN
TOS# 61 SPOCK'S BRAIN
TOS# 68 WINK OF AN EYE
TOS# 72 THE MARK OF GIDEON
TOS# 30 CATSPAW
TOS# 6 THE MAN TRAP

Tongo Rad was in DC 46 Shore Leave. The novels Reap the Whirlwind and Gateways 3: Doorway Into Chaos featured characters from Tiburon, Dr Sevrin's large eared species.

A very funny issue on how Kirk tries to get away from him.

Has their ever been a sequel of any kind to "Charlie X"? I ask because several years back I conceived of a sequel to that episode and plotted it out and everything, I just never wrote it.
