I voted for the doctor, he's hilarious, very entertaining, "I'm a doctor, not a..........!!"

Oh gods, not Paris! He's too...cocky.

I don't see Paris as cocky unless you're refering to the annoying "I'm the best pilot Starfleet has" routine. What does that even mean? They always throw that out there to rationalize why Paris is even on Voyager but you never see him do anything more than "Intitializing evasive maneuver pattern omega 3" lol whatever that entails...I would think anyone could be a good 'pilot' in space which is mostly empty, in fact when Paris traveled warp 10 Janeway was too quick to just let Kim pilot that mission because Paris had a head cold or something trivial.

Other than that I don't see Paris as cocky at all.

Lynx: Well, my "Beauty and the beast" isn't as bad as it looks, more my way to point out that those in charge were going for a relationship between contrasts.

The age thing is unimportant if we consider Kes as something between 18-22 and Neelix in his thirties. It's the silly lifespan which the writers came up with which complicates things.

Personally I thought the relationship was OK in the beginning. But in the long run I could see that it wouldn't last because of both characters development in different directions. I guess that Kes felt grateful to Neelix for saving her from the Kazon and saw him as some sort of hero. But when she had settled in on the ship and got other friends among the crew and other tasks as a crewmember, they drifted apart. Neelix's jealousy and over-protection, how well-meant they might have been may have been restraining for her in some ways. So the break-up was inevitable in the long run. Unfortunately it was handled very badly by the writers and producers.

That's my take of it. As for the characters, I like them both!

You have explained this in a more understandable way, and I must say, I have to agree with you. :)

Thanks, sorry for being a bit unclear in my first post. :)

I loved all the chamy favorite Captain (sorry but she is) Voyager isn't my favorite sereis though. My favorite character from alll tresk series does come from Voyager though and thats B'Elanna Torres. one othe rthing i want to adress is that Mayweather from ENT and Harry Kim from Voyager were both good characters who sadly were under used and poorly developed.:bolian:
