Furuta ship models

Are these little models i see for sale on ebay any good? I think it would be nice to buy some but i don't want cheap junk. Does anyone here have some of them? How is the detail on them?

I asked this question not too long ago. I bought the Enterprise E and I gotta say its a beaut. For its size (its about the size of a Johnny Lightening ship) its got great detail. Easy pushfit design, but at least with the E-E you have to be careful with the saucer because it comes off very easy. Id recommend getting the ones you want because they are nice.

Do you guys have a link for the models? If you don't feel comfy posting it here... please PM me. Cheap is good when times are tough.

I got the Equinox, the Prometheus, and the Enterprise-D. They're pretty cool, because they're basically just larger versions of the old Galoob MicroMachine ships and seemed to have been made in much the same way.

The level of detail on the Furuta ships is pretty much on par with that of the MicroMachines, although I think the Johnny Lightning ships are slightly more accurate. But Futura has ships that JL hasn't made yet or perhaps will never make...

I have a few of them. They aren't super high quality, but they aren't too bad for the price. I have the Enterprise D, the Enterprise A, A Cardassian warship, a Bird of Prey, Deep Space Nine, the Rio Grande, the Spock bust, Excelsior, and a Borg Cube.

Just do an ebay search for Furuta Star Trek and you'll find them.

alright thanks guys. I think i'm going to buy the original enterprise, the enterprise-d, and maybe the defiant if i can find one

I completed my collection (of the ships I wanted to buy) earlier this week :)

I now have...

USS Prometheus
USS Farragut
USS Defiant
USS Enterprise-AGT
USS Enterprise-C
USS Enterprise-E

The Enterprise-E is my latest and she is gorgeous. I only paid £6.50 (US$13) for it, including p&p.

I just decided to buy the 11 ship set. I really like them, i have them all set up on top of my television. I really like the Farragut for some reason, I find it to be like the ent-d's compressed little buddy.

For what they are they are fine. I have been thinking about getting a Enterprise E for a "what if" diorama I'm considering. Think I'll order one tonight.

shipping takes a long time considering they come from Hong Kong. It was about 2 weeks for my set of 11.

I have been dubious about ordering from that area of the planet. But, now that I know they sent you yours........;)

Tell me are the Enterprise E, the Enterprise D and the Nebula in scale with one another?

This thread caused to order some more of them and I got them today. I ordered from airshowcorp in Hong Kong and had no problems (in fact they had great customer service, I accidentally ordered 2 of the same ship and they let me mutually withdraw from the second order). The shipping was a little high (about $20 for 7 ships) but it was pretty much in line with other things I've ordered from Hong Kong.

I now own the Nebula and the Enterprises and I don't think they're in scale with each other, but I could post a picture if you want me to.

Yep. The same seller and everything. I guess I don't need to post a comparison picture, you found one.

I'm glad they aren't scale with each other, if they were the ncc-1701 would be really tiny compared to the 170-d.

I also bought mine from airshowcorp.

I have quite a few of these ships, and their great! You might need to glue some pieces together when you get them. Sometimes the fit isn't exactly right! Other than that, Lovely!

Some are great, and some are really bad (like the Ent-B, if you want those, you might look into the new ones from Konami, their Ent-B is exactly the same size and much better).

On scale, the first two series seem to be in two scales, one for the smaller ships (TOS Ent, Ent-B, Voyager, Prometheus) with the effect, that the larger ones of that group are pretty big and one scale for the bigger ships (Ent-D, Ent-E, Nebula).

I wish the series one ones weren't so rare. Some of my favorite ships are in there, The Defiant, A Romulan Warbird, and Deep Space Nine. I really need to get my hands on some of those. I have found non-ebay websites where the Defiant is 20 instead of 40, but I'm still not sure I can justify spending that much.

I actually have Deep Space Nine (and got it for less then $10 at Godzilla convention) and I would love having a Defiant to go with it.

Hopefully Konami will make the Akira class someday, it's my favorite class of starship and I really want one.
