Connection between ENT and TFF?

In The Final Frontier, there was a catwoman dancing in the bar in Paradise City, and she had 3 breasts...In the pilot to Enterprise, "Broken Bow", Trip asked Travis if it was true that the women on Draylax (spelled phonetically) had 3...Anyone else ever wonder if that could've been the species Travis was talking about?

I mean, I know that TFF was filmed long before ENT was a gleam in anyone's eye, but...I'm sure B&B didn't mean to do it, but I've always considered that throw-away bit of dialogue a possible tip-of-the-hat to the TOS movies.

It wouldn't surprise me at all to learn that it was intentional; ENT was never short of references to other Trek series and stories, even to such obscure details as that. Indeed, such a reference is much easier to work in because it isn't required to seamlessly match established, bolted-down, armor-plated and incontrovertible canon, and thus doesn't hurt anyone's feelings much, one way or the other.

No, no no, you have it all wrong - it was a reference to the film Total Recall with the 3 breasted martian hooker.;)

(Come on, in all honesty, most guys would love a woman with 3 breasts. I seriously doubt that throwaway line was dreamed up because either Brannon or Braga remember a scene from Star Trek V:TFF)

How come Trip doesn't know and needs some space boomer to finally tell him for real?
It's not like this is in the old days of sailing ships when travelers came with all sorts of info the normal Joe Schmoe didn't know about.
I mean how many alien races are the humans supposed to know by 2150? not many for sure. They'd certainly know how they all look like.

I felt the same way. ENT had loads of subtle nods to TOS throughout the run of the series. It was one of the things I enjoyed about the series in general. They dug pretty deep to throw them in there sometimes: The resemblence of the light panel in Archer's shower to the "Red Alert" light panels on TOS, the sound effects on the bridge, references to the animated series, references to races mentioned in TOS.. It always made me smile when I caught one.

bolted-down, armor-plated... canon

What is this, Star Trek or Pirates of the Caribbean ;)

Actually, I'd think that once the humans ventured into interstellar space and met their first aliens, they'd be immediately exposed to the sum total of all aliens in the quadrant. After all, the aliens they meet are bound to know some other aliens who know some other aliens who know some other aliens, and so forth, with many of these aliens representing old and established races that already travel across the quadrant.

It would take humans a few hundred years to sort it all out, certainly. And most of it would live in the realm of legends until confirmed by sufficiently many or sufficiently authoritative space travelers. As we saw in ENT, communications in the 22nd century were slow and many spacefarers rather private and reserved individuals or groups...

It would present something of a mechanical challenge to make any sort of use of those in sexual stimulation, I'd think. Plus one would lose the cleavage effect where full and pressed-together breasts duplicate the buttocks for us erect-walking monkeys: twin cleavages would probably look unnatural and unappealing.

^ Arex's species has 3 legs, hence three buttocks, if they're mammalian the female of the species must have three breasts as well. Perhaps Arex is from Draylax?

If the women have multiple breasts does that mean the guys have multiple....??? I might like the future! :alienblush:
