I don`t know if this subject has come up on this site.It seems that every one has over time,bur here goes.
We all know that many actors wear hair pieces on and off camera.
Kes did and so did Janeway,even the DR. did on at least one episode.
What I would like to know is who else did and what episode did you see them in for the first time?

However, even when Jen Lein was allowed to use her real hair I believe they also used extentions to make it look fuller.

I believe that Lien always wore a wig, even when it was the long hair (which looked 1,000 times better than that shitty short wig)

Not a weave but a fall. Weaves are woven to the hair at the scalp. A fall is pinned into the hair and taken out at the end of the day.

Ironically, picard wore one, during Generations.

As you may know with baldness theres still the horseshoe shape around the side, which picard had, and Stewart had shaven the entire thing for another job.
Then after the test screenings showd the fans didn't like Kirks death being shot in the back and they had to reshoot those scenes, that had to fashon a hair peice for him for just the sides.

It's a tv show, everyone had whatever they needed to make them look better on camera. Makeup, hair extentions, wigs, false teeth, whatever they needed.

When the french lady left the show and Kate Mulgrew came on, they filmed it with her own hair but they thought it was too think so they refilmed it with her bun.

I thought some of the wigs in the first few seasons weren't the best though, Janeway's, B'Elanna's and Kes's wigs all looked fake and ackward. Especialy the first short wig Kes had, the later shorter one was much better and looked more realistic. I also never liked the curly wig that B'Elanna had

realy? I thought she looked much better with the long hair but that's my personal preference. The second short wig she had was much better, it looked like real hair unlike that first one she had which just looked like a helmet

I also prefer the shorter hairstyle even if she looks great in long hair too. But the shorter hairstyle makes her unique in some way, and yes she looks great in it.

Interesting. I just started watching season 1 and one of my first thoughts was "whoa...he's going bald!" I'll have to pay attention to how they hide it over the next 7 years of the show.

Also you act as if its a complex thing to hide, it's just a matter of how you style it
