NASA to Announce Success of Long Galactic Hunt

WASHINGTON -- NASA has scheduled a media teleconference Wednesday, May 14, at 1 p.m. EDT, to announce the discovery of an object in our Galaxy astronomers have been hunting for more than 50 years. This finding was made by combining data from NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory with ground-based observations.

I was hoping the conference would be about a manned mission to mars. Guess my imagination got the best of me

The UFOs have landed and we'll tell you where they are, Midnight Star I wanna know, I wanna know.

Well lessee. It could be:
  • First contact of intelligent life via radio signal
  • Discovery of a BIG black hole
  • Discovery of an earth-like planet
  • Discovery of life or remnants of intelligent life on the moon or Mars
  • Discovery of another planet in our own solar system (Nibiru/Nemesis/Planet X)
  • Discovery of another earth-like planet in a nearby solar system
  • Discovery of the actual boundary at the end of the universe
Any one of these things could be quite big, and most would likely not be published if discovered, based on NASA adherence to the Brookings Report, so it's probably not as big as they say it is.

Well, based on the information given, I'd say one of the following:

A Black Hole
Something to do with Dark Matter/ Energy
Possibly something to do with gravitational waves/lensing, although probably not.
