Best Trailer..STAR TREK 6

I still think the trailer, or better to call it teaser, was the one from TREK 6. The one where Christopher Plummer does the voice over, and various scenes from Trek movies/episodes are falshed by on the outside hull of the Enteprise as it pivots and then goes into warp...THAT was class!!

Rob

Christopher Plummer??

Do you have proof he did the voice-over!!!!

Where's your citation??.

Just kidding. About a year ago a couple of folks went into an all-out war because one of them wouldn't admit it was Plummer unless someone could prove it.
After numerous folks said they were very sure---he finally admitted 'it sounds like him-but that's not proof'

If you don't have a 'tin ear' & have ever heard Plummer speak--it's freakin' him!!

Oops by the way, one of the most touching teasers i have ever seen & heard. Just perfect.

Yes, it was a good trailer.

I never really paid attention before, but that WAS Christopher Plummer! Cool!

That Was a good trailer. I kind of laugh at the "one-quarter of a century" line, which back then seemed like a long time.

Nope, Khan's trailer was straight foward...no class to it. SIX had a great feel, and was very epic with all the flash backs..IMO

I thought the teaser trailer for Star Trek VI was embarrassingly cheesy and pretentious myself. I LOVED the full trailer for the movie however. It was fun hearing Orson Wells as the narrator for TMP one, but it was rather dull over all in my opinion. All he did was list the names of the cast and there were some shots of the Enterprise and that was it. Though I suppose it would be really exciting back then in the 70s when Star Trek had been gone for so long and that first the first glimpse you got of the characters in the movie. :)

That's why I think it's so good. It must have been awesome to see everyone on the big screen again - even if the trailer didn't give us any idea about the movie. It must have been at least as exciting as it's going to be to see the Trek XI characters for the first time.

I've always thought the TUC teaser was a classic. All the scenes playing off the ship, the TWOK music, and Plummer's eloquent voice make it very stirring.

And I also agree the TWOK trailer is pretty bad. The guy voicing sounds about as dramatic and excited as he would be reading a phone book.

Quoted for absolute truth!

I've seen fan-made TWOK trailers that were much better than the official trailer.

Yep, the ST6 teaser sure sold the movie to the trekkies that were already going to buy tickets anyway - and didn't have a thing in it to appeal to anyone else. Doubtless that's one reason the movie disappointed at the box office.

Doesn't seem that bad. Not good either though. Just an average trailer.

You're right, of course. But that doesn't mean that we can't enjoy it.
