Me! Because I think it should be done
My way!
Okay, now that my expected response is out of the way...
I have a laundry list of people I would rather have running the franchise:
Steven Spielberg: Simply because he is a fantastic movie maker, and I don't see Paramount having a problem paying him. They did just buy his company after all, and it gave us a great version of
War of the Worlds and
Transformers.
James Cameron: Another phenomenal movie maker (Terminator I and II, Aliens, Titanic) that, again, Paramount should lavish money on to reinvigorate the series.
Peter Jackson: I don't care what anybody says, I liked King Kong, and I know most of you liked the LotR trilogy, so whichever way we come at it from, we all know Jackson is good at sweeping epics. Why not let him do a Trek one?
David Twohy: Because I love the visuals in his movies. (The eclipse scene in Pitch Black is one of the best visuals
ever!)
As for TV...
Ronald D. Moore: Because he's
right, because he's
good, and because he understands the concepts of up and down in space, and he should be turned loose on Trek as soon as BSG ends.
