As Agent Richard07 pointed out above, I'm having a bit of a hard time wrapping my mind around the notion that Lex could be President in the current time-frame, since he should be 30 at the oldest (about eight years older than Clark).

Unless this alternative universe is set five years ahead of our time, making him old enough to get elected.

Just something that bugs me.

I wouldn't put it past Lex to rig the election. Hell he wanted Pa Kent dead after he was shoot.

Just because I've gotten PMs asking me if this is true: No Apocalypse from the Marvel comics WILL NOT be appearing in tonight's episode.

Seriously?

I wonder what Wellings reason are for hating the glasses so much he writes it in his contract that he won't wear them. I know about the change stating he gets final approval on clothes.

Glasses aren't considered attractive and make him appear 'nerdy'

Supporting that ratings decreased in the third season episode Whisper when he put them on. Giving him the clout to renegotiate his contract so that he could approve what he wore - since he was and still is a model.

Good point.

It was just explained.

He was a hero during the second meteor shower which got him the ability to run for office because he was a national hero. Pretty much the same way he became President in the comics as well - he was instrumental in the rebuilding of Gotham City following No Man's Land.

This is beginning to feel like this is a few years into the future.

And yeah, it does seem a bit like the Smallville version of 'Lois & Clark'.

:devil:

Most of the times that Welling directs they directly reference Lois and Clark's future together. The last time he directed was the first time the characters kissed.

Okaaaaaaay, being a national hero means you don't have to be 35 to run for election?

:confused:

Or is this just one of those things we really aren't supposed to think about?

Eagle = President
Mountaintop = NORAD

How did they get the codewords? Someone was reading their civics book.
