The Golden Girls are hysterical!

So my girlfriend and me have been watching the show a lot lately both on TV and YouTube. Absolutely hilarious. I've seen a handful of episodes in the past, but I've recently started to REALLY watch it and it's one of the funniest shows I've ever seen.

She loves it and she told me that based on my sense of humor and a lot of the other shows I watch (Frasier, Curb Your Enthusiasm, etc..), she said I might like this and she's absolutely right!

Two of my favorite scenes are on YouTube, too.

This one had me dying. I watched it on YouTube the other day at work and broke the silence in my office because I just burst out laughing.


And this one, of course. Blanche has gone without sleep for about three days and she's starting to lose her mind.

It really was hysterical. It's one of my favorites. Too bad it would never get greenlighted by any network today. Those geniuses would figure no one in the precious youth demo would watch it.

Oh I love the Golden Girls too!!!!! The mother was the best...there was one episode that had me so hard I fell out of the bed. It was the one where Rose's sister came to visit. Her sis says: "let me guess, she's zesty, spunky, and full of life-she's Dorothy mother!!!" And Sophia says: "she's mopey, dopey, and full of crap-she's Rose's sister!!!!!" !!!!!!!

That has to be the dumbest, most overused joke I hear. Idiots don't know good TV when it hits them in the face.

However the series finale SUCKS. Not as bad at Roseanne or Will and Grace but not good.

And no...it would not get put on the air today. Because what we need is another CSI or Law & Order spinoff. You can NEVER have too many CSI and L&O spinoffs. Because we LIKE watching essentially the same show every single night.

One of my favorite sitcoms. They really don't make intelligent and funny sitcoms like this any more and as a result I don't watch sitcoms except reruns of old shows like The Golden Girls or Roseanne etc. Sitcom's today are too sophomoric.

Those four actresses were great. I love the St Olaf stories or Sophia's "Picture it..." tales. Bea Arthur's expressions were pure gold.

I used to watch this show growing up in the 80s. My wife is still addicted to it and has got me watching it again as well. We are buying the DVDs and are up to season four. She still loves to watch it on Lifetime as well. When one of us has had a bad day we know it will be a "Golden Girls" or "Frasier" that will get us in a better mood.

That was one of my all time favorite shows. They've been playing on Lifetime forever now. I think I've seen them all so many times, I remember the lines before they say them now. But those ladies had a chemistry that I think is still unmatched for the most part, and Bea Arthur is absolutely my favorite.

Probably my all-time favorite GG moment...

I loved the show. I never missed it when I was in high school, watched when I could during my college years.
