If you were offered 4 million dollars to live inside a game for a year which game world, and would you do it?

I certainly wouldn't want an apartment in Raccoon City.....

would probably pick one of the FF worlds, or Faerun (Neverwinter Nights), or Hyrule

I've been playing Ni No Kuni II and gotta say Evan's kingdom of Evermore seems like a pretty safe, cushy place to live for a while. A year in that game would be a breeze.

On a more risky note, I'd consider going for one of the Fate games just for the fun of it. Participate in a Grail War, fight alongside legendary heroes, maybe win a wish? Of course I'd probably get flattened.

Better question might be, would anyone be willing to spend a year in one of the nastier games for 4 million? I'm thinking Silent Hill or Dead Space or Resident Evil? Dark Souls? Bloodborne?

I'm not sure I want to think too much about what Pyramid Head would do to me. Haven't played the other ones.

As I understand it, nothing? Unless you're super duper guilty about something and feel like you deserve to be punished for it. I actually think I might be okay visiting Silent Hill. Laura didn't have to fight monsters when she was there. Knowing my luck though I'd probably have that bloody cult messing around if I stopped by, and they wouldn't care about guilt or past trauma.

Gyromancy! *spins around*

How about a game without death because what are the odds that I'd be the protagonist?

No the 4 million is for you to live in that world as a regular citizen not the main character. Too late now to edit my OP but no you can live in any game world but not as the main character just one of the regular background people

The Crew: Motorfest, without question; because in that game, I live in Hawaii, I have $33 million dollars in the bank and a fleet of 200+ sports cars.

I do love cruising in that game, but I do wish I could turn off the online players. I've encountered so many griefers trying to ram me off the road.

Additionally, I feel like the game has a half-baked execution. The free-drive and whichever vehicle you're driving, even if you have to purchase one for every playlist, never actually figures into the actual racing as the game loans you a vehicle anyway. This is examplified in the Lowrider vs Donk playlist, where you have to buy not one, but two cars in order to fulfill the criteria, then the game gives you an additional one of each that you upgrade throughout the course of the playlist that eventually end up fully upgraded, but then the prizes for each path's win of another fully upgraded version of the two cars. That is 6 cars in total! Like wtf? That sure is a lot of duplication. It doesn't feel like they fully thought it through in terms of design.

I too have encountered the occasional idiot. Best response? Hit pause, it "ghosts" your car, they lose interest and go away. You could also try turning off Crossplay in settings to lessen the number of other players in your instance.

I agree about the playlist unlocks...but then what else are you going to spend your virtual bucks on?

I did turn off crossplay, although it still happens a fair bit. It's as if many players lack respect for those on the road, and it happens more often when using slower vehicles. I've had others follow me around to try to repeatedly ram me, and I've also had it happen with a friend when we were in a crew together. Good tip about the pause menu though.

As for the spending of virtual bucks, well yeah, nearly every live-service game has something like this. But the way they designed it in this game feels tacked on, rather than the natural progression of most racing games.
