I think we'll be waiting to see this one at home. Length is an issue, particularly for my Dad, who ended up suffering a stroke years ago by having to sit on a chair for many hours while in a waiting room. He's really been wanting to see this, but he'll be more comfortable watching it at home where he can give himself some breaks.

I saw it in IMAX Monday night and I don't recall the last time if EVER I was so satisfied with the last 40 minutes of a film........The performances given by every single actor in the film are just amazing. The hype is real and justified.........Note: I was not paid for this post.

The large ICEE did require me to make 2 very quick runs to the toilet........

Man. Im with you. I get the frozen pop as well. My theater has frozen slushies. Not icees but they are good and free refills. I wish we did get icees though. They have a delicious syrup. Does your theater give free refills on drinks and popcorn?

It was fantastic. I had only one small quibble: The absence of Polyphemus' taunting of Odysseus. Mind you, I understand Nolan's decision to reduce his dialogue to only moaning after being stabbed in the eye (i.e. Polyphemus only sees them as ants) but I missed the verbal jousting between him and Odysseus.

Godsdamn, you've picked one hell of an excellent first IMAX film. You're in for an incredible experience!

It's its own unique interpretation of the text. As a big Greek mythology buff, I loved Nolan's interpretation. For the most part, he stays true to the mythology, but there are some changes here and there. But aside from a couple of things, the biggest changes are the omissions which I'm fine with for the most part. Even Nolan can only squeeze so much into three hours.
