Had a nice Easter with mom, my stepfather, and grandparents
Had my prostate artery embolization done yesterday. The procedure went well and I'm just taking it easy for the next couple of days. No pain or discomfort to speak of, but I'm taking Pyridium which turns my urine a nice festive red-orange color. According to the doctor, I should start noticing some improvement (i.e. having to pee less frequently) within the next couple of weeks.
Not exactly today but I'm excited so I'm posting about it LOL. In four days I'll be able to drive!!!!!
Knocked out a half marathon today in under 2 hours… Booyah!
Now I’m drinking a couple three glasses of red wine to celebrate (and kill the pain
).

Junior sitting on my lap, while I watch TV. Having my cat sit with me at night makes me happy.

Finally sold my flood damaged house. We got a lot less than the asking price but at least that ordeal is over. The family that bought it is planning to fix the house (we could never figure out how with all the restrictions) so that's nicer than having them demolish the house and start over.
My mom went into the hospital the day after Easter, got out 3 days later and then had to go back with the same symptoms. She finally got to come home today. 
Slur
Once in a while, a troll will trip up and hand you an opening for a perfect comeback. Today, it came on a silver platter. A homophobe briefly popped into a chat on one of the Perchance image generators and posted this:

Being that this fine individual ran his words together, it gave me the perfect opportunity to turn his slur into...a sophisticated brand of European cigarettes.
Bloody well should have been done years ago!

Comments to PM? No. Not this time. I tried that when you unfairly made a blanket statement that all AI images are "slop". I was decent about it, willing to discuss it. You completely ignored my PM.
Let's examine a few facts here:
Quoting a slur to call it out...that is prohibited?!? Ridiculous!
Cigarettes have been commonly called "fags" in Europe for many years. In that context, it is NOT a slur.
I took the troll's slur and completely OVERTURNED THE CONTEXT.
Do you even grasp the concept of weaponizing humor to push back against trolls?
In the course of over 23 years on this board, I have watched a situation in which moderators have not been moderate and have been very heavy-handed and preemptive. Always "Comments to PM". That does not allow the community here to know how something plays out behind the scenes...or if something is actually addressed at all.
There is a lot that should be left to a majority opinion across the community, not to the whims of a select few.
Frankly, if this is going to remain as the same old autocracy that it has always been, instead of progressing to democracy, then I will opt out once and for all. Too many people over the years have been chastised for no good reason.
Sometimes a parent has to be put in check and forced to grow up, right along with the children.
