Did Janeway Get Shorted in the Later Seasons?

It's a famous story and I remember reading it myself. I don't have the exact source though if anyone else has the link feel free to post.

I believe she told it at cons on a few occasions.

However, just because an anecdote is repeated does not mean it's true. It can also be embellished for dramatic effect.

I would say that--at least some of the time--Kate was wearing a padded bra. In shots where she's supine in sickbay, her boobs are sticking straight up, which is a surefire indication of a foundation garment.

Also pictures of her in evening clothes during the same time period show that she was not as well-endowed in gowns as she was on TV.

I've always found it amazing how none of the women on Voyager had an "side floppers". ;)

hehehehe in Drone when the Doctor wakes up B'Elanna....definate "side flopper" almost comes out of her nightgown

IMO everyone except for Seven, and maybe EMH, got shorted in the later seasons.

Though, I don't believe "the Captain" of a series deserves more screen-time than anyone else simply by virtue of being a Captain. That is an out-moded way of doing things IMO and makes for a more shallow & hackneyed show than a show where everyone get screen-time based only on what the story justifies and nothing else; and everyone is given an equal amount of stories revolving around them. Kind of like how DS9 did it, there are some episodes where the Sisko barely has any lines at all, and that's just fine. He isn't needed in those episodes. Nor would Janeway be needed all the time simply because she's Captain.

Voyager's mistakes were not using anyone other than EMH and Seven. Using Janeway too little is just a very small microcosm of that. Not using everyone is a much bigger and more problematic issue.

I disagree. Yeah Seven got a lot of focus in the 4th season but she was a new character, she needed to be established and fleshed out. But after the 4th season most of the (good) characters got their fair share of time

Define: "Good" characters.
