Spoilers 💕 The Official SFA Shipping Thread 💕

Just because someone doesn't like the show doesn't make them a bigot. Star Trek fans almost universally love TOS. Thats were it all began. If there were a ton of bigot Star Trek fans that wouldn't be the case.
Just because someone is okay with People of Colour, doesn't mean they are ok with LGBT people or women. People might respect a black man, but have issues with a black woman being in a position of authority. Bigotry has many forms and levels and is frequently on display in this fandom.

If one is to give you the benefit of the doubt, it appears you have misread something along the way. It is not disliking the show that makes a person a bigot, that in a vacuum would be an absurd accusation, it is screaming bloody murder when watching a man flirt with another man that does. And this is by no means limited to Star Trek of course but the very existence of lgbt individuals appears to be too far for these people who profess a love for TOS which was the wokest piece of wokeness in its day.

STD had lgbtq characters 7 years ago. Its old hat. Who cares.

Im not seeing it. LGBTQ characters have been in trek going on a decade now. I haven't seen the new episode yet but it just aired yesterday. I dont see people caring about that . The show it self has serious problems with canon, mistakes on tech and aliens and writing etc. Basically the writers don't seem to have watched much trek. Those are the issues with the show not a same sex couple.

Yeah, there's the hate sphere that ruins actual criticism.

"I didn't hate the (first) Ghostbusters reboot because it was women or the actresses. I hated it because it wasn't funny."

Yeah and people had a problem with it. Just like a large segment of the fan base also had issues with 'Rejoined' back in the day. There were editors at memory alpha who refused to refer to Adira by their pronouns when they came out as non-binary.

You don't care because none of this affects you. You would think someone who claims to be a star trek fan, would understand empathy. And yet here we are.

So is done once and it should never be done again? Patent nonsense. I imagine you're just uncomfortable seeing it. And, apparently, it would seem that you care despite your denials.

What are you accusing me of? I did not like STD much but one if the few good things on the show was Paul Stamets. He was a well written character especially in the early seasons. There was no issue with his sexuality. Just because I dont make a huge deal out of his sexuality like you do you accuse me of something? Unbelievable. Smh.

The bigots. They cried about it then, they're still crying now. And we should laugh at them as they cry.

How many of them are there? Probably very few. Just enjoy star trek. This show has serious problems that I mentioned earlier. Problems that could sink it. Continuity, canon etc. are not being adhered to. One example is they got the Betazoids totally wrong. The black eyes were totally missing and instead of being telepathic they are only empathic. Since when?

Okay, let‘s not make this the “What does TRON JA307020 think of LGBTQI+ inclusion in Trek?” thread (or yet another “What does TRON JA307020 think is wrong about SFA/modern Trek?” thread), so let’s refocus our attention away from him to talking about relationships between SFA characters real and imagined. Queer people are here to stay on Trek and IRL, that‘s not up for debate. The derailment stops now. Be merry and ship to your heart‘s content. 🥰😘😍🏳️‍🌈

Our boy B'avi getting no love?

Alexander Eling's instagram came up on my For You page, and he's as stacked as Sandro Rosta.
