NFL 2025: A new era dawns?

It's not mind games. The league is a stickler for the injury report, because gambling.

Russell Wilson saying (lying?) he had a hamstring tear to save face about being benched is now going to lead to the Giants dealing with a league investigation and fine since there was nothing in their injury reports about it.

Scuttlebutt is that the Giants and Harbaugh have finally reached an agreement. No details but rumored to be in the $100 million for five years range. Supposedly the sticking point was Harbaugh wanting the same kind of access and power he had in Baltimore, meaning he can go straight to the owner with issues and bypass the GM.

In other news, the Packers are supposedly working on extensions for their head coach and GM. Both are heading into their final year of their contracts.

Didn't fact check this but it sounds right. Only four teams have not reached the AFC or NFC championship game in this century -- Browns, Cowboys, Dolphins, Texans.

Sean Payton could be the first head coach to win Super Bowls with two different teams. Quite the effort. I really thought he was done after that 70-20 blowout in Miami.

Bo Nix out for the season with a broken ankle. Jarrett Stidham is the next man up.

I originally read that and thought you were joking. Of course you don't joke (At least that I know of) so that's a shocking development. Whoever wins tomorrow is going to have a field day in the Championship game.

Payton said it after the game. Said it happened on the second-to-last play in OT. Schefter's tweet about it is the top thing on ESPN.com but no story yet.

The announcers actually said “it looks like a MASH unit over there,” referring to the 49ers sideline.

As much as I hate them (which is a lot) they’ve shown a lot of resilience through all these injuries. Very tough team.

I think we can beat the Bears, but I don’t really think we will.

Regardless, whoever goes to Seattle next week has a big task ahead.

That defense is ridiculous.
