How Disney/Lucasfilm could bring Indiana Jones back

It's like they don't want to be successful. It'll happen some day, I'm sure of it. If we just keep sharing the Schoenmaker demo they will get the idea eventually.

There was some early talk about an Abner Ravenwood spin-off. Also here is a very popular fan created attempt at an Indiana Jones cartoon

A live-action Abner Ravenwood series sounds pointless. An animated Indy in WW2 show could be interesting, with him fighting to preserve cultural artifacts a la The Monuments Men, but there's been so many WW2 movies and series it'd risk being superfluous, and having him be in a US Army uniform most of the time would doubtless detract from the Indy vibe. (I'd still take that over Ahsoka, The Bad Batch, The Acolyte, and Skeleton Crew all together, though.)

It's a shame we didn't we didn't get the animated series, that could have been a lot of fun. And I'm sure if it was good it would have been a hit, because I really think there is still a lot of interest in the character. I really think the reason that Dial of Destiny didn't do that well was simply because people didn't like the movie, not because of a lack of interest in the character.
