Paramount+ 60th Anniversary Intro

I liked the 60th anniversary intro. it wasn't meant to be a comprehensive look at Trek, just a brief montage, so I knew not every hero ship could be represented (a testament to how many there's been), but I thought the ones shown were a pretty good representation of Trek's past and present.

Personally, though, I thought it was cool they used the Defiant to represent DS9.
Well showing a space station at warp would be awkward

It's a shame they couldn't be bothered to alert the folks they swiped released assets from (that had explicit license terms for non-commercial use attached) and get approval and pay them for the use. And more offensive that they didn't set them up properly to render them. Typical crap with a certain few there.

Who's did they take? (Say it's mine. Say it's mine. Say it's mine. Say it's mine.)

Wait they used assets without permission??

That’s a pretty hefty claim to make without any proof to substantiate it.

Blending modern era Trek and legacy Trek doesn't work for me. They want to pretend it's the same. It's not.
It's all the same franchise, whether you like it or not.

Do you have any proof to back up this claim?

The anti-animation bias is shocking.
SFA itself references the animated shows They even have a Brikar of the same design as Rok-Tohk front and center in Episode 2.

So I don't think there's a bias against them. I think it's more likely it would have made the sequence too long to include everything.

They could have simply went from the Enterprise-D to Voyager, and not had any representation from DS9 at all.
Would have been funny if they swapped through all these Enterprises, and then - suddenly - supersized runabout:guffaw:

(But srsly - this show has a lot of DS9 connections - would be awkward to skip that if you have the NX-01 in)

I would have swapped out the Movie Enterprise for the Cerritos so at least Animated Trek could have been represented.

That was absolutely crazy. Like the Hulk suddenly showing up on a tv show.

Some poor animator really put an enormous amount of sweat & tears into getting that cgi model real-life show ready. That was a passion project by someone behind the scenes.

They took assets that some very good artists released for non-commercial, personal use released and used them yeah. And again, they effed them up when converting and using them. so whoever was behind the wheel was ignorant as well as insulting and thieving.
