What are your controversial Star Trek opinions?

Given what we now know happened to Robert's and Jean-Luc's mother it's a wonder the man didn't end up being an even more intransigent and bitter pain in the ass. Between their mother's fate and the father's traditionalism it's a good thing Jean-Luc even made it into Starfleet.

I can imagine Jean-Luc leaving for the Academy without telling his father he was accepted or was going. Probably just left a note, Handwritten of course. (TRADITION!!!!)

All the female officers in TOS were hot.

For that matter, female guest stars.

Roddenberry doubtless made sure of it.

Edit - Thinking on it, I'd discount the witches in Catspaw, the beast lady in The Savage Curtain and the Talosians in The Cage/The Menagerie.
