I shared this a few weeks ago elsewhere on the forum and figured this would also be a good place for it. Figured you people in this thread would appreciate this. I'd always known work was being done on Canada's Parliament building, but I had no idea to what extent until I saw this video. It's a massive engineering project where they have to lift the entire building up onto poles, insert earthquake isolators and then build a visitor's center.

I don't know much about architecture, but early Chicago architecture from the likes of Holabird & Roche, Louis Sullivan, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Daniel Burnham stand out as amazing and beautiful work. Some Frank Lloyd Wright work in the city too.
Hmm. Why would I want to build a fan, when I can pick one up at Target, probably for less than the cost of the parts?
