Spock

okay, but I do know what I have been watching though.
You can't prove that by what you post. People have to correct you continually on matters of fact.

You wave the flag of "sci-fi" (what, are you the ghost of Forry Ackerman?) while making declarations that show you've no grasp of the science fiction genre in any context other than lowest common denominator examples.

The repeated rants about women characters and feminism are, frankly, embarrassing.

If, by any chance, you've noticed that you're persuading no one of anything, these are likely among the reasons.

yes we can agree to disagree but again I have seen many of this shows and I can tell which shows are the best of their genre

remember also that TNG was highly critical acclaimed for his maturity, depth, philosophy, themes and writing and was nominated and won many prestigious tv awards and also continue to rank among the greatest tv shows ever and usually in the top 3-5 science fiction shows of all time in the rankings. it tends to rank very high when they select sci-fi/fantasy show.

you may disagree but the TNG has the metrics to back it up. TOS too as well but I feel TOS does get a place because it is the most iconic.

"I can tell which shows are the best of their genre."

So, basically what you’re doing is positing that TNG is the best sci-fi series. That is your opinion. You are also disagreeing with my assertion that it is not but in the process calling me and my opinion wrong.

One's opinion cannot be wrong. It is simply that -- an opinion.

To that end, your entire argument is pretty close to gatekeeping.

What Fenton Harcourt said.... Met Uncle Forry at a Con once

No metrics to support any of the absurd claims you've made, either.

You live in a glass house.
1.TNG has constantly ranked in many greatest tv shows of all time by critics and many sci op-ed. EW, Time, Rolling Stone, Variety, Empire to name a few than TNG has appeared in as among the best tv show ever. they also cited some of the episodes I listed to show how great the writing could be.

2. Nimoy TOS Spock is an iconic character in american culture. this is a truth. he is the star trek character who has comes close to darth vader, luke sky walker, homer simpson, batman and spiderman in terms of popularity and been beloved.

3. star trek 2009 where Quinto Spock appears is still the most critically acclaimed and successful trek incarnation of the nu trek era both from fans and critics. In the contrary the kelvin actors are still most famous in the trek roles.

there are people today who are not up 30 or 50 that know about chris pine or zoe saldana playing star trek characters. most people don't know paul wesley or celia rose googind are playing kirk and uhura. 2009 was not that long ago and this movie was a sensation especially in the USA. I was there, I lived it, I was part of it.

SFX Magazine named it also the best sci fi movie of the entire decade, it made AFI and National Board of reviews top movie of 2009. Even after 15 years it has the highest RT critical acclaimed and audience score of nut trek. the sequels also fared better in audience approval than SNW or other streaming trek series.

SNW is still a very niche thing. This is why paramount likes to post free full episodes on you tube and why they can't make a full season any more. I do wonder if may be if SNW had written spock character closer to TOS trek and balanced out the gender ratio, the show would have fared better

As I said, no metrics.

Lots of opinions.

So, you're wrong again.

To compare Nimoy's Spock to THAT Homer is quite original thinking.:borg:

Nimoy's take is Spock. No one else has matched his unique combination of aloof, stoic and restrained. It's either mimicry or caricature to me.
And the character's TOS/TOS movie arc of denying his human half until acceptance really resonates.

But that is my opinion and I don't expect anyone to agree with it or be bound by it.

I never said they dated. I said there was attraction. As for Uhura, watch TOS. Particularly Charlie X and The Man Trap. There is definitely some flirtation on both sides of the coin.
I don't think so. Uhura enjoyed teasing him as a safe person to tease, who would neither take it as an invitation to pursue her nor get her in trouble for inappropriate advances to a superior officer. Spock used his emotion-supression skills, honed at the hands of the Vulcan bullies when he was a child, to not react to her and she wanted to see if he ever would.

"Feminist apology tour." I'd love to hear why this is so.

Famous last words, I know. Sigh.

it may be means there is unconscious racism bias in the fandom that poc fans like me can easily spot.

Discovery Micheal/Spock and Kelvin Uhura/Spock are less problematic than Spock/Tpring Spock/Chapel in SNW

But for some odd reasons cough cough subtle racism people went hard on them, way too hard on them in a way they are not doing with Spock/Tpring and Spock/Chapel

Wait, are you seriously advocating for ratings being the measure of the highest maturity, philosophy, themes, and writing for a television show?
